Madueke is going to play on the left. I said it, the club said it, yesterday he did it. I still think it is possible we go for Eze, but unlikely.Originally posted by Rich View PostHe's usually pretty good, in fairness. If we don't sign anyone that can play on the left then you certainly can't let Nelson leave under any circumstance.
We only need a signing on the left if Trossard leaves. Nelson will go if we get an offer for him.

I get that he can play there but he's not played there in his career. Mind you, if we don't sign anyone else then he's going to have to because Martinelli can't be trusted. I think Madueke is there to give us something different to Saka. Has good as our boy is; he can be a leetle one dimensional.Originally posted by Peter View PostMadueke is going to play on the left. We've been over this. He has played there in his career, including last night on his Arsenal debut.Originally posted by Rich View PostI get that he can play there but he's not played there in his career. Madueke is not coming here simply to sit as cover for a guy who literally plays every game. It is obvious the club can see other uses for him. Maybe they like the option of a left footer on the left to supply crosses for our sparkly new centre forward...
That said, I am not claiming he is going to be any good on the left
his right foot looks pretty ****.....

Well I did like him being direct and use his left foot to put some balls in. Merino just couldn't get on the end of them.Originally posted by Peter View PostWe've been over this. He has played there in his career, including last night on his Arsenal debut.

I do like Merino. He reminds me of Jean Reno, the French actor; rarely the main character but always the best performer in any film he appears in.Originally posted by Rich View PostWell I did like him being direct and use his left foot to put some balls in. Merino just couldn't get on the end of them."Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.
"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."
