So Isak has been left out of Newcastle's pre-season tour. We couldn't, could we?
Agreed. Very odd. Maybe he has a gentlemen's agreement with someone? you know, the usual thing scrawled on the back of a pack of B & H as everyone was rolling out of a nightclub in the small hours.
The club are owned by Saudis and supported by Geordies. Not a gentleman in sight.....

Two for one on the old racism, there
I'm hearing Geordies saying to let him rot in the reserves. I don't think they're in any position to do that. Wilson has left, they're stuffed on PSR and no one seems remotely interested in going there.

Is that even still a thing? Who was the last player to rot in the Reserves. Do we even have Reserves.
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.
"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

They effectively have two options. Price him out of the market and then force him to stay, or sell him.
Problem is, the longer they drag the sale out, the less time they have to replace him. And they definitely need a replacement.

They cannot do the first as Football would never forgive them for it. They could test him with a hugely-improved new contract; that's worked in the past. And then sell him maybe next year.
At least we did allow the aforementioned Auba to leave at the earliest opportunity, even somewhat against our own interests. At the end of the day, they're professionals and will do what it says on the piece of paper.
Isak is probably house-hunting in St. Albans already

You know what Geordies are like, though. If he wants to leave, and they know it, they will kick up a fuss.
If I was him I'd say I dont like living in Newcastle, but London looks nice. No way he could ever play for them again after that

Right. He may need to get personal so the situation is truly irretrievable, so they wouldn't even want to reconcile. Like when our new assistant coach told Manchester United that he wanted to join Liverpool, in order to get his desired move to Real Madrid.
