So Isak has been left out of Newcastle's pre-season tour. We couldn't, could we?

Liverpool surely are out of the running.

Not a chance in hell. Silly money for a position we have just filled.

And, Newcastle wouldn't sell us a hot dog. The clubs hate each other.

Gyokeres has scored one fewer goals for Sweden, than Isak, in half the number of games.

Whilst that might not be an exact science, I think I know who I would prefer to be at The Arsenal...
Other clubs never came into my thoughts once I knew Arsenal wanted to sign me.

He can play on the left, though....

While that may be a true I don't think anyone disagrees when I say that Isak is a signifncantly better player than Gykores. One of the top 5 forward players in world football, no doubt.

he's a good player is Isak. Massively over valued, mind. And injured...

Gyokeres has an eye for goal, no doubt.

His injury record is a problem; I will conceed.

I'll be interested to see how Gykores does at this significantly higher level. If he can get 1 in 2 then I'd be very happy. Not sure that he will, though.

Lets not forget, he put 4 past City in CL

You want to buy one of the most sought after and expensive centre forwards in the world and play him on the left?

Just how much do you hate Martinelli??

I've watched a bit more of him now and not all his goals are against pub defenders.

Some of his goals in the Championship are closer to the type we would want from him. Including a couple of headers!

I'm not expecting a glut of goals from him. But as you say, 1 in 2 would be good. Also have to bear in mind the rest of his game. This needs to be solid, he needs to be able to help the rest of the forward line. This is arguably more important than his own goal tally.

Havertz does this very well. I do think the two will rotate for different games. They offer different strengths.

Aside from the injuries, Isak is a very, very good forward. He would have been a great fit for us.

But we signed Jesus instead. To be fair, he is just as good as Isak when both are injured......

I see Isak has now said that he wants to be allowed to speak with other clubs. Surely there will be a conversation at the club about it?

Have we signed on the dotted line for Gykores yet? Can we accomodate both if we sell Martinelli?

Chelsea then. They?re mental enough to throw 150m at an already over crowded front line.
