  • So it's your job to decide on Man City's punishment - how do you rule?

    1) Relegation in 26/27 is the two lowest points total and Man City
    2) 100mil fine
    3) All titles Man City won during the period are set aside, there is no winner declared in each competition

    That's do me

    4) Man City to have no sponsorship deals for 10 years.

Explusion from the PL rather than relegation. Why should they be allowed to compete this season? The football league are then under no obligation to accept them into what would then become a farce of a Championship season next year.

4 year transfer ban on incoming deals.

      Fine of whatever.

Full liability to clubs wishing to claim for lost commercial and/or sporting revene.

Owners gone, and banned from ever owning a PL club. Titles removed as you propose.

And they have to be relegated. How that happens, I dont really care.

The civil suits from so many clubs will destroy them. It could run to billions.

They need to be expelled, in disgrace.

Relegation is too soft, too footballistic, like a red card; not great but there's no real shame in it.
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

They've embedded themselves into the fabric of manchester by throwing money at numerous regeneration projects, I believe. I guarantee you they will have protected themselves at higher levels, politically, as well.

Casting them out won't be that easy.

Others may know better, but surely this is fraud, in the criminal sense? It certainly sounds like it.

                1. Expelled from PL with EFL refusing to take them so they end up in non-league Div 5.

                2. The owners and the board and everyone involved banned for life from English football.

                3. Compensation to all clubs affected. Hundreds of millions each to the biggest clubs.

                4. Various class actions by the fans. How much would the buzz of winning the title in '23 and retaining it in '24 have been worth to us as fans? It's priceless. And think of the Scousers. Look at the buzz when we won the title for the first time in 22 years. When Liverpool won it for the first time in the PL, it was Covid so they weren't able to celebrate like we were. Imagine how they'd have felt if the whole of Liverpool had come out like we did in North London. That would've been priceless to them. And had City not been cheating, they have won the title before Covid and they would've got that buzz. To lifelong Liverpool fans that is absolutely priceless. I reckon £100 for each season you were cheated off a title if you can prove you're a fan - in any nation*. £1000 for any season in which you attended a game. £10,000 for every season in which you were a season ticket holder. Maybe half of that for an FA Cup and a quarter for a LC. Any club that would have got into Europe for the first time in their history should be compensated to the same amount. That's how much it's worth if you're a fan of someone like Brighton or Palace and you achieve that for the first time ever.

                5. 20 year ban from European competitions.

                6. Arsenal to get Harland for a packet of cheese'n'onion Discos.

                7. And a fine equivalent to the entire GDP of Abu Dhabi for each year they cheated.

                *Goats count as fans, so those Africans who celebrated our title with their goats get double the fans who don't have goats. And if your goat was in a video wearing an Arsenal shirt or flag, it gets the full £10k like a season ticket holder would. {Peter's cat and our Puddle Paws also count, same as the goats.}

No, not fraud in the criminal sense; no jury or judge; balance of probabilities rather than beyond reasonable doubt and a' that.

It's just because the behaviour described by the tribunal sounds like fraud to the ordinary person, so everyone uses that term informally.

There's no criminal liability. Just deliberate financial misrepresentation; merely a breach of regulatory and contractual rules.

I worry about Haarland's defensive work, does he track back.

Following the nature of the guilty verdict (sham contracts, misleading accounts and so on), no doubt the taxman will be all over them all.

I think they can demand twenty years-worth of archival paperwork because the ruling specifically stated it was all a deliberate scam; rather than a series of honest mistakes, for example.

It also means board members commited perjury in the CAS case with UEFA. opcorn:

latest details being reported this morning make it even worse, and the evidence is so overwhelming that their appeal and denials are coming across as absurd.

Ownership and senior execs will have to be banned and relegation/expulsion seems certain. And at this point the PL will have to set aside their trophies, the league has no credibility if they don't.

Off to find a City message board

Dunno. I've never really watched him. I guess it's a question of whether all those extra goals he scores over a Kaiser or a Vik wins more points than are lost by conceding goals cos he doesn't track back.

Just looked at his stats - goal a game this season, just like his first season when he scored 36 in the league and 52 in total. 2 years of 27/38 and one of 22/34. That's phenomenal. We're the best out of possession team in Europe, we have the greatest strength and depth in defence and MF. It's just the forward line we need to sort out.

Other than that season when City were **** and the Scousers won, he's scored 27 or 36 league goals. I think we should try to tap hm up in Jan.
