with obligation to buy next summer, as we did with Raya.

Pretty clear indication that we are now spending next summer's money..... fair enough, as long as it works

Sounds as though the Kiwior deal is similar, with the money coming next summer.

Could it not be we'd have the money for the new chap if we let Yakob go?

In which case, it's not next summer's money esp if we sell Reiss for 15 and that and Yakob pay for the new chappie.

Perhaps MA always felt Yakob would want to leave - he's 25, it's a WC year and he's proved himself in the CL knockouts so should be playing every week. I reckon we said fair play, but we need a replacement. And if we're gonna replace we might as well upgrade to someone who can play LCH as well as Yakob but LB better.

The question is what happens if the Kraut team want the cash now and Porto won't pay it to us this year.

Well, your last sentence, I think that is probably the current stand off. So let me rephrase. We can't spend any more this summer without sales.

I think the defender swap will go to the wire but that is ok. If Kiwior ends up staying, I am sure we can still use him.

I quite like it. If we are pulling the plug on further net spend this summer then it suggests we are happy that we are within the rules on what we have spent already

My understanding is we can spend more according to PL PSR but a we have lot less headroom for UEFA.

          Yeah, i read that somewhere.

There's the rules, and then there is the actual debt. I don't like the idea of us racking up huge loans from the owners..... but I suppose we don't have a choice.

I hope we don't have to, but everyone else, now incl WHU, are looking at flogging part of their women's teams to their owners to fiddle the books.

I'll be honest - I'm perfectly happy with the squad as it is {without, sadly, Fabio, Zinny, Reiss, Sambi etc} and if we can upgrade Yakob, so be it. I like him and am glad he's done his best for us and I don't want to stop him playing every week when he's played well in the CL knockouts. {I do think he would cost more if he was coming to the prem as a proved 25 yr old. I would have liked a bit more profit.} But I'm happy with the squad. We also have Jeez to come back who shouldn't be written off, especially when he won't be the main man and can do his thing more from the bench and out wide.

I don't believe KSE have injected any capital this summer. And if they did then they'd convert to equity and just hold the additonal shares on their balance sheet.

I read that they are the wealthiest sports franchise in the world. They're not going to quibble over 100m here or there. Mainly because Arsenal have plenty of upsite. If they can cement the club into the pantheon of great world football clubs then they'll have increased the value of their asset immeasurably.

Yes, delighted with the squad. Not trying to be funny though, we probably could do with one more goalscorer; one more injury or absence there and we're back to where we were.
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

We have one scheduled to rise from the dead after the international break

                  Internal solutions.

But if Havertz is going to have an Op I think we may revisit Watkins.

Yes, just read that. Right on cue!

Yup. Sadly that's what Abrahamovic was able to do and why the nation states invest. Africa will keep getting richer {it, not you} and Asia will keep growing the fanbase. If we're regularly challenging for both PL and CL, we have big fan bases to build on. It's why I'd like us to have an African in the squad. I like them and they've liked us since Kanu. This is the Chinese century but the next won will be Africa's and if they've got a billion rich gooners, so much the better.

If you think what Kwonke paid for the ITV shares compared to what they're worth now, giving MA a billion to spend is affordable and a good investment. These Yank franchise owners realise that footie's the global game and that you have to pay to play in European sports with promotion and relegation.

But we should thank Ganpati we have owners who can build on what AW did.

Don't blame me! I wanted the big Nigerian, Victor Osimhen #25.

I hadn't read it at the time of posting. So back in training November-ish.

Yes. No real worries though, The Lord will provide, as you say.

                            No Watkins though, please.

Well when Gyokeres gets injured what do we do? Can Eze do a job there or is it back to the Spanish Haaland?
