We know you hate Gabby M but no. Leo got a pay rise yesterday and we'd keep Gabby over him were one going. Eze is cover for Kai in the false 9 role, and - when we have Gyok playing well and/or Kai back - an option at AM, either as cover for or with Odin. If he gets a chance on the left when everyone's fit and it works, fine.

But we didn't buy a forward last winter window and look at the fall out. Window closes and Kai injured. Had we signed no-one and Vik plays sheet or gets injured, we'd have had everyone on our backs and our world class players might have had their heads turned.

The only way for us to sell better while maintaining a top level is to have a larger squad. Signing young players on long contracts (with fees spread) is fine. They have low wages and if they work out then great... if not we sell them.

Chelsea, City and Liverpool all do it exceptionally well. Chelsea have sold 200+ this season. Liverpool 150m+. City... depends if Savinho goes but still a large sum.

We have made nothing. But it's because we have opted for a small squad with lots of stabilty.

It would be insane for us to effectively sell Ethan for Noni plus ten mil. He's 18. He didn't play the first half of the season and still scored about 9 goals. He has huge potential. We signed him on a five year deal for a reason.

The way I see it is like the year before when we wanted Raya but had to pay for him the following summer. I reckon Eze will come out of next year's money so we'll buy one fewer big name next summer. Or maybe it's come out of the winter buy if necessary money.

And I can live with that. Instead of buying an Eze type player in Jan we have him already and will have Kai and Jeez back, Ganpati willing.

And if all our stars extend their contracts, it could be that we just buy a LW next summer and that's it.

Not an issue. Those we've signed are properly blooded and ready to play right now; Dowman, for example, and Nwaneri, may actually finish school and decide to go and get a proper job. They may not even be footballers at Noni's age.

Disagree. He's the cover for Odin. He may be tried elsewhere but that's his main place in the squad atm. Eze can play L8, LW or false 9. He won't play right 8 cos his big thing is cutting inside from the left onto his right boot.
