You'd have to wonder if the Greek lad is really cut out for this league.

And playing Rice for the full duration against Prague has worked out well.

They were all a bit off today. Poor performance all round, apart from Madueke.

    We move on.

There's the name of the end of season dvd right there. With the addition of 1-0.

It's going to be another grind. Perhaps without the wobble this time, but still a grind.

Do you think we will ever play well again? Or is it too risky?

We must change people's understanding of "play well".
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

Is playing better definitely off the table?

That couldn't do any real harm, I suppose. The most important thing is we win.

Of course. We didnt name our dog 'decent performance'

It would just be nice if we used the ball a bit better. And if our counter attacking wasnt quite so comical.

There's no sense taking unnecessary risks. We haven't successfully defended a league title since Ramsey MacDonald's second term.

Hitler hadn't even invaded the Rhineland.

I think we need to change people's understanding of risk.

As much as I want to defend the title, we need to win the champions league. I still don't think we are quite good enough. I dont see us beating PSG.

He's done pretty well so far, in my book.

Tsolis didnt look out of his depth today at all. He just didnt play very well. He wasnt alone in that- Havertz was terrible again and I thought Rice and Calafiori had their worst games for a fair while.

Virtually all our threat came from Madueke who was excellent.

I do. We are already better than them; we simply need to arrive in May shipshape and Bristol Fashion.

The only reason anyone cares about PSG is that their money, their spending, dwarfs that of the entire league they play in. In England, they'd be Aston Villa or Newcastle United.

And that they've won the champions league twice in a row. That might be part of the attraction.

Anyway.... leaving aside our attempts to 'evolve' our style of play, right now the focus has to be on being a more effective version of us. Right now we are a tiny bit off in a few areas.
