  • Surprised at the amount of criticism Saka is getting when

Havertz seems to get very little. 1 or 2 performances aside he has been invisible for much of this season. He was anonymous against NF. Teams are probably looking at our front 3 and thinking that if they can take Saka out of the game that's most of the work done. He is routinely facing 2 or 3 defenders and we aren't switching the play fast enough to counter it. Our lack of a left side and impactful striker are larger issues than Saka's play imo.

I also thought it was noticeable how we improved when Gyok came on and started holding up the ball and bringing others into play. I don't think Havertz did that successfully once.

Gyok should get a run in the team at this point. A few goals and his confidence will come back.

WES, old chap. Both you, me & Arteta know that Gyokores may get to start against Fleetwood Town in a couple of weeks but he's on the way out of the club.

Havertz has been ok. He helps us overload the right side (which helps Saka) and I note that his advanced pass completion is the highest of any CF in the Premier League so far this season. But low blocks make it a challenge, of course.

Gyokores is so damaging to everything that Arsenal try to do. This is why his team mates ignore him much of the time (I'm sure you've seen the reactions from multiple players in the squad when Gyokores ruins yet another opportuinty to build up play - heads in hands, shaking heads, massaging temples and MLS even laughing at him).

Best for everyone (yourself included with your unhealthy obsession) when Jan comes and he is undoubtledly sold.

Rich old chap, you assured us he would fail last year and be sold in the summer. You told us he was the worst player you had ever seen play for Arsenal. He led the team in goals scored and he's still here. You apologised at one point.

Time you accepted that you were wrong and get over your obsession, Rich. We already know how little you understand football, your view on Gyok changed very little.

I'm supporting a player who plays for Arsenal whom I think can help the team. That's because I'm an Arsenal supporter. Try it some time.

Oh I support him when he's on the pitch because I want the best results for us. But ultimately I see that him being on the pitch does not help Arsenal F.C. in achieving the best results.

To suggest that he play a start a single game over Kai Havertz is mind-blowing to me. It's never going to happen unless Kai (and maybe Merino who is better suited to our CF role) are injured. Apart from Fleetwood - I'm sure he'll play there and get bullied by their defenders.

The thing is....overloading the right flank is a problem because Saka is currently ****.

It is a problem anyway but with Saka in this form it is killing us. We are lunging with a blunt sword.

it is really exposing how bad our summer was. Weakening the left flank was very silly. It now looks even sillier, particularly as an over reliance on Saka is almost certainly a major factor in his current form.

          Bad busines. Berta out, etc

People don't have any great expectations with Havertz and never did to begin with. Everyone knows he'll enjoy a purple patch before dropping off the radar for a while again. That's just Havertz, he's like a white Kanu. You learn to enjoy the moments when they arrive.

Saka looked like a generational talent before ageing ten years in eighteen months. It's the rate of decline that's so alarming. He's still capable of sneaking into the six yard box unnoticed, though. But just can't seem to go past people with the ball anymore.

They don't ignore him, it's that he's central so on moves forward, he'll drag 2 defenders with him as they leave us the space out wide. This works when the right side triangle works.

A cross between Kanu & DB10, for me. He's absolutely majestic on the ball and his movement is the best of anyone in our squad. A tidy finisher on his day, too.

Rich- never mention Dennis again. You just lost the right to speak about him.
