  • Well, ****kng boring so far

The left flank is a desert. If do end up heading over there by accident it is jist Eze and Calafiori and nothing inside them.

Does the manager know how to construct a viable attacking unit?

I'm not convinced that even if we had the likes of Vini or Alvarez on the pitch that we'd be seeing anything much different. It's all very Ian Wright era George Graham. Keep it tight and hope someone conjures a goal out of thin air.

We look slow, predictable and toothless.

Creating absolutely nothing. Madueke is at least offering a change of pace.

Bringing on three subs at once. Hate to see that, reeks of panic.

Thought MLS might have been an option. Apparently not...

Nicked the points. Well done, Madueke.

Overall, must do better. But we'll take it.

Already shaping up to be another of those seasons where we’re winging it upfront. So far, we’re getting away with it but it’s far from convincing, certainly not the form of champions.
Bryan away could be interesting midweek.

This is pretty much what we did last season away from home. Nick one goal and keep a clean sheet.

I can see we are trying to keep the ball better when in front but we shipped two or three good chances in the closing stages. The attempts at being more adventurous are not really working, largely due to Saka's form and the fact that we sold our left flank.

I hope we persevere with it. It is the only way we can take the next step.

We need to get Maresca into a proper of end season title race and find out what he's actually made of. Don't let them build a big lead early on as that will be curtains.

I assume you'll tell me it's not a low block again?

As Arteta said in his post-match interview.... it's not easy when we face 10 men behind the ball in a 'Christmass tree' most weeks.

It's why the likes of Martinelli and Gyokores were never going to work. Desperately need Yildiz in Jan. Or Alvarez if he has changed his mind (I see he sacked his agent).

I think they would. It would mean that (a) teams can't overload Saka with 3 men and (b) playing those filthy low blocks becomes a much more risky game.

People are going to stop putting three men on Saka if he keeps playing like Raheem Sterling

My theory on Saka is that he is, in part; too comfortable. If he lost his place to a Dowman or a new signing I think you'd see him play with some 'pain in his tummy' or 'poision in his veins' as our manager likes to put it.
