Indeed, clearly they'll appeal. So probably nothing for the moment but taints every trophy they've won

They have to really, really throw the book at them. I think we could even be talking about a substantial fine, in fhe thousands!

Once the appeal process is complete, obviously. But i cant see why that would take more than 7 or 8 years.

Wonder how it'll impact the players too. Can't help but think it's going to have a significant phychological impact on them - before any sanctions are determined.

They can literally only appeal to the same people that have found them guilty. Unless there is a change in material evidence then it'll be quick.

Times saying other Big 6 clubs reserved the right to sue City if found guilty. First of all said could be 100m each, plus interest.
Said Everton getting sued for 40m for one year's denial of PL sets a precedent.

Updates story said Times understands the big clubs could actually be suing for a **** sight more than 100m each.

Unpicking all of this could take years. The implications across the leagues are enormous. I don't know where they go from here. No imaginable punishment is going to satisfy the affected clubs.

I don't care if they get relegated. We could have a right ol' ding-dong with the Scousers instead. Civilised lot, Scousers. Much preferred fighting them 88-92 than I either Fergie or Pep's Mancs. Don't like Mancs. It's like being beaten by Morrisey. Don't mind losing to the Beatles.

That's my ideal outcome. City relegated to non-league. ManU and Chavs keep sacking managers and go back to square one. Sperz stay in permanent relegation battles {or go down.} Us and Scousers fight for top two like in the good ol' days of GG {him, not me} while all the other clubs like BHA and Villa fight for places 3-8.

So some non-Big 6 teams can dream of glory {which winning the Uefa and playing CL knockouts is - 4th place trophy and all that} while us and the Scousers catch up with then overtake ManU for most domestic titles.

If we pip LFC thanksto a heroic win at Anfield like we did in '91 as well, I won't be moaning that Man City will be playing S****horpe.

There is a bigger question for me. They didnt just cheat, they ruined football, along with Chelsea. They created a gigantic inflationary effect in the Premier league and totally transformed how football financing works, effectively divorcing it from on field success. They are the reason the rules exist. And they ignored them.

Aside from the other punishments, the owners should ne forced to sell the club. These offences are too serious for them to remain.
