The Scousers and City losing is a touch. But we really did play the Scousers at the wrong time. Or at least, we were wrong to play so defensively and let a series of minor mistakes lead to giving away a FK which was unstoppable.Originally posted by 7sisters View PostNailed on draw then ?
And so late that while we dominated pressing for an equaliser we didn't have enough time left to score one.

Unlike at St James today. I thought the Ref was looking to play out until City equalised.Originally posted by Ganpati's Goonerz--AFC's Aboriginal Fertility Cult View PostThe Scousers and City losing is a touch. Bad form for Guardiola at the final whistle. Remonstrating with the man in black after gifting him an unfathomable ten minutes.

Every week that goes by, with more Liverpool performances like this, that performance at Anfield looks more and more like a big missed opportunity.Originally posted by Ganpati's Goonerz--AFC's Aboriginal Fertility Cult View PostThe Scousers and City losing is a touch. Of course, it is done now. But I hope the lesson was learned.
City losing is great. But it we don't win tomorrow (and I fear we wont) then it is another missed opportunity.
And looking across the rest of the season, the injury situation needs to change. It is getting beyond a joke......

It's the only thing I worry about MA about. We had that season we lost Partey at the end and came 5th. Then Big Willy and came 2nd. Then came very close. Then last season, everyone was injured. So we buy a huge squad and yet will still have MnM up top, sweet FA on the bench and our 3rd choice LCH tomorrow.Originally posted by Peter View PostEvery week that goes by, with more Liverpool performances like this, that performance at Anfield looks more and more like a big missed opportunity.

I'm starting to worry this isn't coincidence. Do MA's tactics work them so hard meaning lots of injuries which means the players left are over-played meaning more injuries?

It will be a mixture. Jesus is hugely injury prone so he isn't a surprise. But Martinelli and Odegaard aren't, nor is Ben White. Odegaard has been injured 3 times this season while hardly playing and White has been out for most part of a year or so.Originally posted by Ganpati's Goonerz--AFC's Aboriginal Fertility Cult View PostIt's the only thing I worry about MA about. The amount of muscular injuries last season was not a good sign but it seems to be knees this season.
Hopefully a fair amount of it is bad luck. But his lack of rotation is a factor. If we ever manage to get down to just 2 or 3 injuries maybe we will see him rotate a bit more.

We do have a chance. A great chance.Originally posted by Sir C View PostI’d be happy with a draw tomorrow. I hate losing to that lot.
If any of you mad *******s still thinks we have a chance of winning the league you need to give your heads a wobble.
I think what you really mean is that we are stupid if we think we won't **** it up.
And you might be right

So obviously we won't win it

Failing to win the first test of an Ashes tour? An ancient tradition solemnly observed since Margaret Thatcher's second term, I thinkOriginally posted by Peter View PostEngland were favourites to win the test at lunch....
I think we can forget about Liverpool for now. It's all down to City.
And Chelsea might want a word too."Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

While I want us to win the Ashes down under, if this defeat means Berni's curse is being broken and we go on to win the league, I can live with that. It's all his bloody fault.Originally posted by redgunamo View PostFailing to win the first test of an Ashes tour? An ancient tradition solemnly observed since Margaret Thatcher's second term, I think

Ancellotti deliberately got big Gabby injured for this match. So that obstacle to our victory will be removed by the One-Tusked God of Good Luck and Fortune and we'll win, keep a clean sheet, have no injuries and the Hinchappie cappy will show that he's better than peak Maldini. Wop Chav shouldn't have tried to cheat.Originally posted by Peter View PostChelsea can have their say next weekend. But they won't finish above City.
