But that was a really, really tough game.

    Good performance second half

This is genuinely where all these sick notes could have made the difference. Fresh attacking options would have helped put them under the cosh. Thank Christ there?s an international break coming up

They had two shots on target. These things happen.

Never let a high ball bounce in the box, innit...
Other clubs never came into my thoughts once I knew Arsenal wanted to sign me.

Yes, very much so. Poor old Declan Rice was exhausted in the last 10 minutes, dead on his feet.

You can't help the feeling that this is the sort of game that champions win.

But the injuries are killing us, again.

They're all massive threat on balls into the box. We are great at defending that usually but they gave us a really tough time.

I thought Raya was going to punch that ball....

Yep, you would think - coming from behind and getting 4 minutes into stoppage time

Even champions don't win every game they should. We take that tough, fighting away score draw and we move.

We've had a terrific few weeks.

Unbalancing the defence by adding another CH rarely plays out as managers intend either.
Closing the game out when you?ve enjoyed almost 70% possession in the second half is bottling in imo.
Have confidence in your players. Swap one for one if you will but metaphorically waving the white flag only serves as encouragement for their attack.
                You get what you deserve.

If MnM hadn't been playing up front, he could have come on for Dev with fresh legs. But if he doesn't trust Ethan to come on for Easy or Norgy for Dec if he's knackered, than is it really any difference than those CL knockouts last year when we had loads of kids we didn't know on the bench who would never be bought on unless 4 players in the same position got injured?

Hee could have brought on Ethan for Eze or MnM, or he could have bought Norgy on for the latter to have a 3 man MF of Zubi, Dev and Norgy, with Easy moving to false 9, or LW with Leo up top. The latter might have worked, actually. Norgy's 6'1", Leo can play as a CF and Easy could still have moved to inside left on the counter.

We still almost won it at the end. If they'd scored 5-10 mins earlier we could still have turned it around.

This is the conversation we had in the summer. He simply doesn't trust Nwaneri in that central role and if he did, Eze wouldn't be here.

And it has to be said, Nwaneri's performance in that role this season he has arguably shown us why he isnt trusted- yet.

If two of Jesus, Havertz, Gyokeres, Martinelli, Madueke and Odegaard had been on the bench they would have come on for the last 15 minutes. But we had nothing, so we had to stick with the exhausted guys.

We can't keep carrying this number of injuries. Nobody can. Hopefully we can get some of those guys back for spurs without us losing more guys elsewhere.

Young Ethan perhaps lacks beef, yet he plays as if he believes he doesn't?

One shudders to think if we'd be where we are if all those absentees were backs, rather than forwards. Would be an interesting experiment.

                        For another day.

Let's hope we are not having that discussion in a few months, with Merino playing at centre back

I'll be worried if City win today. 4 points gap is nothing to them and they have the experience to really pick up momentum.

Also I am not in the slightest bit impressed by Eze.

But he's looked decent when he's played. The finish after the MnM backheel to MLS etc. He can glide past players. He had that shot just wide recently after he burst through MK but could have played Leo in, but that was worse than a couple of shots from B and Easy yesterday.

Maybe he needs to beef up down the gym, but I would have given him a chance yesterday.
