- he is slow to turn, slow to get a shot away, slow to get running, slow to get up to full pelt and then when he's at full pelt .. he's too fakkin slow!! There ain't a full back in the Prem worthy of the job description who couldn't murder him in a 100m sprint.

Gyokeres is too bloody slow. It's a marginal thing but,

I thought that but I remember on his debut in presason, he absolutely roasted one of the full backs for pace. Very odd.Originally posted by Herbert Augustus Chapman View Post- he is slow to turn, slow to get a shot away, slow to get running, slow to get up to full pelt and then when he's at full pelt .. he's too fakkin slow!! he doesn't seem quite fully fit yet.Originally posted by PSRB View PostI thought that but I remember on his debut in presason, he absolutely roasted one of the full backs for pace. Very odd.
However I am not worried. with every team deciding to use the 'low block' * Current buzzword. he's always going to be limited.
if anyone decides to open up against hopefully they will be met with a resposne like we had against Atleti.
we also have a back 4 of centre backs which is working perfectly. they all love it.

We will face low blocks in at least 30 of our 38 PL games this season. Just like we have done in each of the last few seasons.Originally posted by Pat Vegas View Posthe doesn't seem quite fully fit yet.

Fortuantely Havertz is back soon and so young Victor (well he's not young - in footballing terms) will be sitting on the bench.

I am very positive. I think it's our season. just carry on doing what we are doing and it should pay off.Originally posted by Rich View PostWe will face low blocks in at least 30 of our 38 PL games this season. Just like we have done in each of the last few seasons.

Yes I think so too. And I also think Gyokeres probably does occupy defenders a bit. Not exactly what you want from your striker but it's something I guess.Originally posted by Pat Vegas View PostI am very positive. Hmmm. Well he is a poor header of the ball so you can't put ariel crosses in for him. And when they pull balls across the box for him his balance seems all over the place and he takes too long to correct it - thus failing to get a clean shot away.Originally posted by Pat Vegas View Postwe are not giving him much service to be fair. Saka needs to work on that. he's a little selfish.
The closest player I can think of to wear an Arsenal shirt is Chamakh.

Other than the headed goal in preseason, I can think of one other cross he's had put in to head (yes he missed, but that's not the point).Originally posted by Rich View PostHmmm. Could t score in a brothel, as the saying goes. He?ll get a few but he?s looking every inch a Championship striker from what I?ve seen so far. His best quality is his physicality. Other than that.. meh..Originally posted by Herbert Augustus Chapman View Post- he is slow to turn, slow to get a shot away, slow to get running, slow to get up to full pelt and then when he's at full pelt .. he's too fakkin slow!! Making that statement about Havertz (who isn?t a number 9) says quite a bit about Gyokeres.Originally posted by Rich View PostWe will face low blocks in at least 30 of our 38 PL games this season. Just like we have done in each of the last few seasons.

I prefer the lads with the dancing feet and a bit of pace. Wrighty would have scored a hat full in this set up.

Don't know how Wrighty would get on in this premier league. It's a weird season so far. Everyone else is starting to focus heavily on set pieces as well.Originally posted by 7sisters View PostMaking that statement about Havertz (who isn?t a number 9) says quite a bit about Gyokeres.

Niall Quinn would score a few....
