  • What is the point in these turgid WC qualifiers ?

The expanded finals have removed any games that were half competitive or any realistic prospect of a major country not qualifying.
It?s jeopardy for the clubs as they hold the breath and wait for more injuries, meanwhile the fans have simply having their pants pulled down.
I can?t see the sense in it. Far better to have decent friendlies surely ?

What like Wales tonight? As pointless as Latvia away

In fairness, Italy are in a bit bother to qualify for the WC, again!

Money, innit. The players love 'em and so does everyone else; everyone who isn't holding their breath waiting for more injuries, that is

We don't need to worry about injuries. We know we'll get them and that is why we bought loads of extra players.

True. But in that case, we didn't buy enough of them to not have to worry about injuries

Exactly. What a waste of money.

The trick is to have players who aren't quite good enough to get picked for their country

It looks like practically anyone can play for Wales. 3-0 after twenty minutes.

                  Nice goal from Saka

I can't get excited for England even when we're playing good.
