Unbelievable really, three defeats in a row. Crisis club.

The wheels can't fall off in October, can they?
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

Maybe it's a cunning Scouse ploy so we have the pressure of being top every week and they can sit under the radar.

It's just luck running out. They've been pretty poor, and extremely fortunate, all season, up until the last 3 games.

They are vulnerable and concede too many goals. I am sure they will improve. But so will we....now we've decided to play football again

You watch other teams and understand the sport, unlike me. So watch this 13' vid and tell me if it's true.

I haven't watched enough of Liverpool to know what their problem is. But the guy is certainly right that a high line requires pressure on the ball. One of their seasons under Klopp they were awful defensively for this very reason.

This Wirtz character is a bit of a departure for them and it hasn't worked so far. One of the issues they will have is that Salah plays largely for himself and doesn't do his share if work. I think Isak is similar in that.... starts to put a lot of pressure on the other players to pick up the slack.

Those always screaming for more money to be spent might want to take a look at Liverpool.

Won the league by 10 pts, spent 310mil on two strikers and an attacking midfielder and they?re worse as a team.

Those two FBs of theirs are truly awful. And Konate is a lump of sh1t. And VdV looks old and not the same player.

Still let?s spend 310mil on attackers

It was hugely to Slot's credit that he came in abd won a title without signing anyone. But it did leave one question unanswered- what would the transfer strategy look like under him and how would the team adjust.

                As yet unanswered

Yes. Playing football is all very well but it will be our undoing. We're certainly less predictable now though, noticeably getting the ball forward quicker. Even first time!

As an opposing manager, I'd blitz Zubi; he does fancy himself on the ball in front of our backline. You'll give away fouls but, because of his relative lack of beef or brawn, some of those will be on the soft side and every once in awhile you will get away with it.

Worth a go. But good players adapt to cope with that. And of course if you blitz one area you leave gaps.

If I was an opposing manager I'd repeatedly kick us and try and wind us up. And work the ref.

                      Confirmed. Peter is Sam Allardyce

It worked in the past, but they've tried to kick B out of football and failed. And can't see Big Gabs, Dec or Vik just standing by. Even our relative midgets like Leo have a touch of the psycho about them.

I actually watch to the LFC game on MotD after watching that, just cos it was on first. I did have to keep pausing and rewinding cos other teams' matches just wash over me. But it did seem that they didn't press and didn't always try to cut out the forward pass.

In fact, they looked particularly bad at it.

The thing people don't realise is you can't just dream up tactics. You have to be able to coach a group of players to actually do it.

I wouldn't be able to do all that. But i can tell people to go out and kick people

So yes, Allardyce is a fair comparison

He is a good player. He is already very well adapted to cope with it; that's why he's here.

Just saying, it's an opportunity I'd try to exploit. It only needs to work once.
