We had Dec at DM, B and Gabby on the wings, Kai up top and Odin and Leo as no.10s and Leo was good, really dancing on the sand.

So MA does like the idea of twin no.10s at times. Here's praying to Ganpati for another handbrake-free win on Saturday.

I am sorry to have to break this to you Ganps but my waters are telling me we will stroll out imagining the 3 points are as good as won and will either be held to a draw or even lose.

Oh, I may be praying but am taking nothing for granted. It was simply about all the fans moaning about MA playing with the handbrake and the fact that he played Dec-Zubi-MnM in a couple of games apparently shows how he's a cross between GG {him, not me} and Geoffrey Boycott.

I'd said that when he signed Kai, he was playing him in GX's role as a second no.10 with Dec as DM before Jesus got injured and Kai moved up top. This Hammers game showed that even with Kai up top, he was still trying the twin 10s as opposed to the double pivot.

I think Port Vale and Olympiakos show that he'll try this more, especially when we need a goal. The MF will be three of Zubi, Odin, Easy and Dec {who will play in a double pivot, in the GX/left 8 role or as a lone DM depending.} With MnM and Ethan as options and Kai, too, when he's back.

I just hope that it's that he didn't want to go too gung-ho at the start of the season with the tough run of games as new players are learning his formations and how to play with each other. Pity Noni's injured but hopefully we can play a more attacking game, certainly when needed. Vik's learning how to drop deep and link up with us which means we don't need that extra MF body. The Hammers game I was talking about had 2 wingers and 3 no.10s interchanging, as well as Dec getting forward when needed.

I think it is actually somewhere between dual 10s and a double pivot.

.I've always thought Odegaard had the intelligence and technique to play in a slightly deeper role.

But where does that leave Declan Rice?

I reckon it would be more where does that leave Zubi? He's looked great so far, and I reckon MA's gonna keep starting him in the bigger games with Dec, with them switching who sits and who moves into the L8 role.

But Odin could drop deeper like Santi did when Ozil arrived. If Santi and Ozil had had Dec behind them, we'd have had a team that could seriously challenge.

Today's selection is terrific! What options.

All of you are quite correct though, I'm afraid

Hmmm...... where was that handbrake again?

Looks like Odegaard will sit slightly deeper. Rice back in the holding role where he is not an ideal fit, really......

Dec was DM for England and the Hammers when he won them the European trophy. He was signed as Wigwam's replacement with Kai in for GX. He's looked great when he's dropped back between the CHs when needed, and Willy-Gabby with Dec in between them just in front is like Paddy in front of the GG pairing of Big Tone and MK/SB.

He can use the ball from deep and is perfect if we're horseshoeing given his ability to play defence splitting passes and to score arriving late.

Taller and better in the air than Zubi and has the pace and stamina to get back to cover a counter. So with our twin 10s who seem to be hitting peak form, Herbs is right. We're gonna get gubbed.

You have to stop this, gut feeling, defeatist blubbery, H. That?s twice in as many weeks you?ve waved the white flag. Enough.

It?s that or he?s succumbed to his grandkids forcing him into eating too much sourdough with mashed up avacado.
