Agreed. First ten minutes of second half were good but since then.... nothing.

They are playing the low block very very well, Peter

Haaland defending inside their 6 yard box

Oh well, if they are defending well, that is fine.

Difficult to score against a team with as many good players as City have playing as negatively as they are.

The only mistake we have made was to concede a goal.

If this ended 0-0 with City playing like this no one would criticise us. It?s sh1t but there we are.

Take it as a compliment Peter. And maybe, just maybe, Arteta will see this as an impetus to be more attacking, to focus less on control.

            There?s always an upside, Peter

It's disappointing. We need time to adjust to the new options. But we have to be less predictable.

Starting line up. Dec playing the GX role but on the right. Eze the Odin role but on the left. Gabby LW. Ethan, Leo and Noni on the bench.

Btw, the finishers combine for a goal again. Unpredictability. They don't have the manager, they have to try to work out our new formation themselves.

Being able to bring on two wingers and two no.10s is useful. 3-2-4-1 formation. Imagine when we also have Kai to throw into the mix.

Oh, and P, I know it was a last throw of the dice, but he did bring Ethan on when we needed a goal at the end.

He'd already brought on everyone else!

Which sort of shows he trusts him. Here ya go, ten mins to see if we can get a goal. It's lucky we've got options now.

It sort of shows he trusts him less than everyone else....

And I don't disagree. If odegaard or eze are available, I'm picking them ahead of Nwaneri. Ditto Saka or Madueke.

However you slice it, those signings pushed him down the pecking order. Right now, those four are better options than him.

Saluba didn't cover himself in glory for their goal. He's too far across, giving t9o big a gap for Haaland. But I'll let him off, first game back

I also think we want both Gabby and Willy deep to cover things like that.

We got caught 3 against 2. Best you can do is slow them down and buy time. He showed too much for the Haaland pass.

On a positive note, it's lucky Ricky C's play acting for a foul in stoppage time didn't work. Ball went out to our left, and then B played it into the middle to Ricky C who's now up and fine, and he just nudges it to Easy for that gorgeously timed and weighted assist.

If he'd got the foul he was hoping for, we wouldn't have scored.
