"The 29-year-old has scored six goals in six games for Spain in 2025, having netted just twice in his first 31 caps."Originally posted by 7sisters View PostMore headaches for Mikel..
So it looks like that time up front has done him good. It's a pity we never got to see the Dec-MnM-Odin MF. Imagine him i the L8 role, doing the box to box work, winning duels, using his height but also arriving late in the box to score like Freddie used to.
6 in 6 at intl level's not to be sniffed at. And he scored against Franco's mob. He's also had some lovely assists from the edge of the box. He's a good player. Even if he's not starting he gives MA some "unpredictability" options from the bench.
JT got over his early season injury when he signed to make a place in the team. As has Cala. Would be sad if his chance to be an Arsenal starter was ruined by Big Gabby injuring him during his first training session.

Good goals. Especially his third about 6'-odd in:Originally posted by 7sisters View PostMore headaches for Mikel..
He looked better than Pedri, Yamal and Williams.

Sell haircut#14
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.
"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

Problem with Merino is a bit of a confusing player for the manager,Originally posted by 7sisters View PostMore headaches for Mikel..
if you start him in in what's supposed to be his normal position he's solid but not amazing. he's not a striker but now he's scoring goals for fun.
he's not that great but also seems to pop up in big moments.

He's a good, solid player. But I do think that Rice is better than him at all the things he is good at. He is effectively a plain boiled rice when we are looking for Special Fried.Originally posted by Ganpati's Goonerz--AFC's Aboriginal Fertility Cult View Post"The 29-year-old has scored six goals in six games for Spain in 2025, having netted just twice in his first 31 caps."

Seems very well liked amongst the squad too which is good. We only signed him as a sweetner to get Zubimendi this summer.Originally posted by Peter View PostHe's a good, solid player. Ah, but a plain boiled rice goes better with a chicken tikka and a dal than a special fried rice. That's the point, see? Combinations.Originally posted by Peter View PostHe's a good, solid player. I was thinking Chinese mainly. Indian rice is generally just a friend on the sideOriginally posted by Ganpati's Goonerz--AFC's Aboriginal Fertility Cult View PostAh, but a plain boiled rice goes better with a chicken tikka and a dal than a special fried rice. That's the point, see? Combinations.
