Hopefully a significant sell on clause in there. But absolutely zero point him being with us so I guess the highest bidder gets him.

2.6mill for Lokonga. That seems a bit light imho.

Right. I liked young Sambo.Originally posted by Rich View PostHopefully a significant sell on clause in there. But absolutely zero point him being with us so I guess the highest bidder gets him.
Any idea how other clubs manage to get good value for players they don't want that do not play?
Corruption, I suppose, but people say we pay them too much which makes them unattractive to other Premier League clubs?"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

It's better than Raheem Sterling again, I suppose. Well, younger anyway.

Is he really rubbish then. I'd presumed it was a meme based on a few bad misses.

15 to 20m seemed about right for Nelson, as opposed to yet another loan. I assume his persistent injury record put pay to that one.Originally posted by Peter View PostHe isn't rubbish. He is worth roughly what chelsea paid for him. About 30 million.
Again, the deal stinks....
The high salary ceiling, combined with long contracts is what?s doing our legs in here.
Nelson and Nketiah were allegedly on 100k a week, which seems mental, given their first team appearances.
I was shocked to read that Havertz is reportedly on ?280k a week. There?s no way that streak of pi55 is worth that much when Saka?s on ?195k.
This is possibly where Chelsea have been very savvy. Low wages for the youngsters and long contracts, although it has blown up in their faces with Sterling and Mudryk, so at least some payback.

Lokonga
Vieira
Nelson
Zinchenko
We got a fee for Lokonga, loans for all the others. I would guess the wages are an issue with Zinchenko because otherwise it is hard to believe that nobody would want him. Nelson is always injured, Vieira isn't very good.
You would guess Havertz was already on a fair whack at Chelsea so we had to offer high wages.

I was beginning to muse over what happens to BlueCo as it looks increasingly likely that Strasbourg will up qualifying for European competitions, given Boehly?s fondness for parking or offloaded Chelsea players in their direction. Textor caused Palace dearly with his multi club ownership model. Now I read that the slippery bstds are putting Strasbourg into a blind trust in order to circumvent the rules.Originally posted by Peter View PostKiwior

They?re inventive, I?ll give them that..

All the professional money that's poured into the game, really since George Graham's brown envelope misfortune, took everybody by surprise so the authorities, unable to control or regulate it, did the next best thing and simply got in on it.Originally posted by 7sisters View PostI was beginning to muse over what happens to BlueCo as it looks increasingly likely that Strasbourg will up qualifying for European competitions, given Boehly?s fondness for parking or offloaded Chelsea players in their direction. Thing is, half the Prem thinks it could make a decent showing in the Champions League, or anyway, in Europe. So if Zincs, for instance, is not good enough for us, why would they think he would be good enough for, say, Brentford (after all, we have just signed their captain).Originally posted by Peter View PostKiwior

He's similar to Nunez, He scored 3 or 4 (can't remember) in a match and every goal was a mi**** or miscontrol. Worst hat-trick ever
