Can?t play out the back apparently. Too old school with his feet.. Whatever that means. Only the best keeper of his generation but, hey ho. That?s progress

Similar to cricket, I like wicket keepers that can actually keep wicket.

That's old fashioned. Nowadays you want a slogger who wouldn't even be first choice in the slips and doesn't know what a stumping is.

The most annoying thing currently is that, Foakes, can actually bat.

Smith is your modern keeper batsman, and a model Bazball man. He could have a really good Ashes.

Might help make 4 or 5 nil look a bit more respectable

I've also seen him drop absolute dollys. I'd pick Smith as a batter

Yes, but he can't slog and that's what we want, apparently.

                Yesterday's ODI was funny. Other than Smith and extras, the other ten slogged 66 between them. The glw could have done better. She was better than me when we played with some young kids on the Maiden in Mumbai {near VT station.}

In Goa once, by the well in Chapora, I was walking past and stopped to watch 3 or 4 teenagers playing with 3 sticks poked in the ground for stumps. They asked if I'd like a go so I said yes and they gave me the bat. Lad runs into bowl, I think I'll try to play a forward defensive but he cleans me up with an inswinging yorker. That kid would have done better than the Baker chap who opened our bowling yesterday. He went at almost 11 an over while Jofra went for 8 runs in 5 overs.

50 over cricket should have green tarpaulin pulled around and take a bullet. Test cricket and T20, should free up some space in the calendar

You have to get forward to the yorker. Just the smallest movement.

Isn't he the one that's too tall for a keeper?
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

I am not sure that is possible.

Surely if they're too tall they struggle to get down quickly enough. Raya could be a tiny bit taller, but ultimately it's the overall package, isn't it.

He uses mind games. He leaves half the goal wide open and says, go on then, try the impossible shot. He's done that before, it mostly works. Just sixteen direct free-kicks scored in the whole Premier League last season.

They get down slower but across quicker. Cancels it out.

I watched the Raya incident again. He isn't offering a side at all. He has positioned himself in the slot where he can see through the wall. As the wall breaks, he moves across to the centre where he can still see.

Free kick has to be perfect to beat him. And it is.

I can't blame him for that.

My PSG supporting mates tell me Donnasummer is sh1te with his feet and can be very erratic. He was just at his all time best against us appazza. C*nt.

They lost to Real Madrid (I think the year before) almost entirely because of him, was their view. Of course he pulls off a blinder against us and denies us the EC. C*nt.
