You're quite right, of course. I was expecting us to batter them

They played within themselves, as they have in too many fixtures of late. I prefer to watch fluency, expression and a lot more self belief than we witnessed today. Arteta appears to be setting up formation by opta algorithm. He?s a foil farker, as they used to say, in the days before laptops. Over analysing data instead of allowing the players to do what they do well. We have such a depth of talent, it would be criminal to over shackle these players.Originally posted by Peter View PostThe sort of thingn he might want to mention before the game. I'm not convinced that the players know that is what he wants from them
....
Just look at what Glasner?s achieving with Palace. Much more of this and Eze will be looking over his shoulder, wondering if he?s made the right choice.
It is of course early days but already, Arteta and his ?beautiful? take on everything is beginning to wane on me.

It's a curious point though; on the one hand we play too much football but on the other, there's actually not enough matches. I mean, where are the games when you can try out different formations, players in alternative positions; different corner routines, three at the back, Martinelli at #9 or even on the right. Saka on the left!"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

But we'd rather be in the proper competition where the money is
