Just look at Amorim; Europe's most promising young manager but take his striker away and now he wouldn't get a job in charge of Supermarine Reserves.
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

To be fair, United is about the toughest job in European football at the moment. Nobody could turn that mess around overnight. They are properly ****ed.

I saw this absolute gem on X, following his ten minutes against the Spuds.

?You know it?s a bad night when the grass has more successful touches. He looked like he was buffering. Strikers miss chances, sure ? but Gy?keres was out there like football wasn?t his idea. I?ve seen cones with more urgency.?

        Good grief..

They were already a mess before he joined and his arrival made them even worse.

A competent goalscorer covers a multitude of tactical sins from the coach, is my point. With VG, WE could even play three centre backs and make it work, if we wanted to.

Africans on Twitter, see. You can't blame them.

Aye, they go straight in like Mwepu Ilunga.
Other clubs never came into my thoughts once I knew Arsenal wanted to sign me.

I find the Americans worse. Obsessed with data and stats they don't understand. Moronic judgements and no sense of humour

My word! That's one for the next pub quiz.

Yes, it's all that drug trafficking, gang violence and school shootings, I suppose. Apparently life is too short for them to actually watch the game.

When I was a nipper, the only stats was Goals For, Goals Against and Tonight's Attendance.

Their own sports seem to have been in the grip of data analysts for some time. So I suppose I can understand that part.

Cricket shows the genuine limitations of data. If you look at Ben Stokes, his averages paint a picture of a player who is, well, average.

                            He is anything but....

Data is even less useful in football.

That's right, that's where we got it from. And along with our mutual addiction to gambling; simply asking for trouble.
