I hate to go on and on about it, but it is our midfield. Until we get that functioning properly, nothing else works as it should.

We might see a bit of a slow start to the season..... again.

I'm really not concerned currently, this trip was purely about raising profile in Asia. I think the Emirates Cup matches will provide a far more realistic reflection of where the team are.

I can tell you from speaking with BiL, he used to hate the preseason abroad trips....in fact preseason in general.

Oh, I'm not concerned by these performances. I am still smarting from last season. I do hope we are going to be a bit more positive and adventurous this time. I dont want to watch that stuttering nonsense again.

Big season for Arteta. I think demanding a title win is unfair, but he needs to keep us genuinely competitive in the two big competitions. If we perform like we did last season, he is in a bit of trouble.

Well we do now have a proper striker and an upgraded midfield and plenty of exciting options off the bench as well. My concern is the 1st 6 games, it really could derail the season before we get going......or it could lay down a real marker.

I note certain media outlets are already suggesting that the lack of a striker might not have been the main problem....

And I agree. Hopefully it will help, though.

I have confidence that Zubimendi will make a huge difference. I?m still distrurbed that our young Brazilian is unable to hit a cows arse with a banjo, despite his excellent workrate. I suspect his value has tanked over the past two seasons.
              Crucial year for him.

That I do agree with with this but there's a load of talent in him....the fact Brazil keep picking him demonstrates that.
