If Gyokeres forces Havertz to the bench this season that would be an outstanding result, but it would surprise me.

As I said in the past, he's meant to be an upgrade on Jesus, not a replacement for Havertz. Anything beyond that is a bonus.

60+mil does not get you an automatic first choice striker who scores loads of goals. Not at the Arsenal, anyway. For that you would need 100mil+ and we don't have it.

They bring very different qualities and styles. I imagine Arteta will be thinking about that more than identifying one as first choice.

Either way.... for years the pundits have been screaming that we need a striker. Now I guess it moves to 'shpuld have picked your striker' every time he doesn't play

              Also.... he might be ****.

He?s not *that good, Wes. In fact, he has more than a few moments of being very poor. I can see his value to the team but if the Swedish lad becomes an automatic starter, it begs the question, where does he fit in, other than alternating with perhaps Odin or the new left winger/midfielder.

I?m not sure how he can replace Jesus either. The bloke has played himself out of the line up over the last two seasons ?
