Sorry state of affairs if we can?t hang on to two, incredibly talented local boys.

Noticeable that we've kept the 2x Hale Enders but lost the 2x brought in to the youth set up (Heaven and Obi).

Could of course be they didn't think they were good enough......

I don't think we thought Heaven was that great. Obi was just too young for us to be handing him a fortune. United are desperate, we are not.

I must admit I think it's just he looked better compared to their other options, the fact that they had to throw in at CB at the end of the season tells you that....and they still kept losing.

Obi, we'll see but I suspect a strong future in the lower divisions or abroad awaits.

I am a bit surprised that Heaven didn't go on loan. Arteta would never be keen on throwing in a centre back with no senior experience.

MLS and Nwaneri just look born to play at this level. Different class. I suspect we have thrown a fair bit of money at both and I am very comfortable with that. A path to the first team is going to be essential in keeping the next generations and we seem to be getting better at producing talent.

Apparently we are getting a 17 year old striker from Salford for ?500k.

All seem to have good people around them as well...unlike Yamal

I also understand that Sesko has effectively priced himself out of most moves by his agent demanding silly wages. Pretty daft....

I dont like Liverpool being linked with Isak........

Was going to say, not sure they get 2x ?100m + players in one window......unless getting compo from Jota and sell Diaz......

I would have thought clubs have insurance. If, God forbid, B or Dec died in a crash, we'd want about ?150-200m each to buy a replacement. Though if the car was speeding, would that invalidate the claim?

Apparently, Liverpool are absolutely loaded now and in a far healthier position than the other leading clubs in terms of the Premier League rules. Same thing I read says we also have room to spend more than the 200 million (roughly) that we have already spent.....

Liverpool have spent more than £170m on players this summer and are rumoured to be interested in Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.
