I think we now have a clearer idea of why he is leaving. And it really doesn't reflect well on anyone involved
He's got a fine set of balls on him then, wasting time haggling for more money with the sheriff loping up the drive. The timing does appear awfully convenient.
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

We know people turn a blind eye if their money is concerned.

I wonder if they are pushing through the charges now because they fear he'll leave the country.

Literally just said this to my mate. Especially, as it was Saudi Arabia

I think he's leaving because his contract expired.
Other clubs never came into my thoughts once I knew Arsenal wanted to sign me.

That can't be the reason. Surely a Premier League footballer is ALWAYS a flight risk in any case?

                  Except DB10, I guess

I mean, as The Arsenal's greatest ever player, I almost love the man, from afar of course.

But he was quite the fanny when it came to aircraft.

We didn't handle that well, I think. Fairplay to him but plenty of people don't like flying.

What I mean is, maybe they are not really ready to make their case yet, but think it is now or never. Had he stayed, they would have had more time.

As you said, they are usually quick off the mark when it is a public case. And it is hard to believe that Arsenal had any influence on delaying it. And if they did, while the moral question is for the club, the huge concern is around those who were gotten to

I have irrational fear of it, r. But you know, I still hop on the ocassional flight.

Sure, when it goes wrong, it goes badly wrong, I suppose. But what are the odds?
