Sorry, that is a ****ing joke. Never a red in a million years.

It's a really poor challenge on him, reckless and dangerous.

He shouldn't react, but he does not kick the bloke. It's a petulant shrug of the leg. The reaction of the Fleetwood players is way, way over the top.

The ref has been done there.

In fairness to him, Max won't have played many games like that, against that sort of opponent. Players with points to prove and chips on their shoulder because they never made the big time, men playing for their mortgages, perhaps even their manager's mortgage, a team-mate's rent.
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

The sad fact is that Max reacted in a human way. He needs to learn that the right thing to do is roll around in agony screaming.

Harsh lesson on the cynical world of adulthood.

Exactly. He's not quite there yet.

Looking at it from another angle I am not even sure he does anything at all. His foot is tangled by the bloke's scissor kick challenge, is dragged forward slightly, and he yanks the leg away. Doesn't kick him, doesn't stamp. Applies no weight on the foot. The guy himself isnt overly bothered.

For that to be considered 'excessive force or brutality' is quite frankly ludicrous.

The appeal is pointless but is probably the right thing to do. It is a scandalous decision.
