  • So now an ex-ref is saying B dived for the pen.

Bukayo Saka could be accused of simulation when winning a penalty during Arsenal's 2-0 win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. That is according to former

"I think that Saka has gone down easily, and I'm finding it difficult to actually find a foul. So for me, the referee's got it wrong."

But you can clearly see his sleeve been dragged off his body so much you can see his bare shoulder, starting outside the box. How is that foul hard to find? He's been pulled round 90 degrees.

If they accuse us of diving then it's:

    1. Well JT's disallowed goal is evened up.
    2. Arsenal are cheats. Remember last season when they used the rules as they stood at corners? They're cheats. So they probably deserved to have that pen given against them.

Refs covering each other. They're scum.

Dermot Gallagher's expert opinion on the Sunderland penalty appeared to be that although it wasnt a penalty, and the videos made it obvious that Ballard committed the foul, the fact that Konsa was holding him, and that the ref had given the penalty on those grounds, meant that var was right not to intervene.

If that is the level of mental contortion that officials go through it is no wonder they cant get anything right. Total and utter nonsense.

The ref said 'he is all over him and facing the wrong way'. Both of those statements are quite clearly untrue. Yet var looks and agrees. You cannot defend that decision with a straight face- unless you are a former referee.
