You know what? I understand the club here. We did need to sell to keep up with the inflatonary aspect of transfers now. If fees keep going up like they are (which is underpinned by City and Chelsea) then we have to keep selling assets for more than we bouhgt them. So I get the Martinelli sale (if the inflatornary aspect wasn't an issue then I'd keep him for numbers).

We are now in a situation where there were no 'level raisers' available. But we have plenty of talent. It means more minutes for Madueke (who I beleive is a world class dribbler - who just needs confidence in final product). More minutes for Dowman who could well go on to be one of Arsenal's greatest ever players.

We do definitely need a striker who will replace Gyokeres but sounds like the club is chasing Kroupi in Jan (admittedly PSG also want him which could be an issue).

We can all see how it could work. But we are relying on Havertz, Saka and Odegaard staying fit. Take those three away and the quality of our forward play drops off a cliff.
