We are short one natural left sided attacking player. Kai/Gyok/Merino and Saka/Madueke/Dowman are pretty good. In midfield and at the back we are loaded, almost embarassingly so.

Which worries me slightly re our potential playing style later in the season.

Right. But why are we short there? And as we are, why is Nwaneri leaving? He would get minutes, it's inevitable.

Feels like we've spent a summer being pissed around by Vini Jnr and this Argie tosser. If the Greek lad isnt up to it (and he was miles off last night) then we have a serious problem on that flank.

Now I think it was the Sun Tactics channel that said for the first game, we'd been playing a 3-1-6 in attack.

And on Sky sports after Villa, they showed just that but one moment, in the front six, Easy was LW and Ricky inside left and BW RW and B inside right. Next mo, the winger and FB had swapped.

In this role, Easy's ability as an inside forward/10 at CP really helps. With Ricky as opposed to Hinchappy {who'll be used for harder games} those two switching, just like BW and B switching and Ødin and Kaiser both switching and creating wide triangles, he could do fine there. He can cut inside and can use Ricky C's overlaps.

In terms of cover for Ødin, yes he is, but Bruno and MnM can both play there, even if Kai and Vik isn't working yet.

I like the idea of keeping a ****ing huge powder of barrel dry.

Like when we tried to spend 75m+ on Mudryk or that Cockroach chap who went to the Chavs in the summer.

City buying Guelhi and Semyano almost got them over the line last winter. Imagine us spending 100m or more on either two or one players in Jan.

You have to question whether all of this is even his doing. What is his relationship with Berta like?

We've gone from mid table rubbish to title winners and one of the best sides in Europe, and we have done it without signing superstar names at ridiculous prices. Why have we shifted this summer to chasing dead ends with Vini and Alvarez?

I dont like it. And it hasnt worked.
