  • Two Alvarez options

He could come to us on loan with option to buy. An option he wont accept next summer.

Or he can go to Saudi, and then join Barcelona in January.

    Pr he goes to Chelsea.

This falls into the Mudryk/Isaak/Sisko category for me. Based on what I've seen of him there's no way that any price tag north of 100mm will end up justified. I think we're undervaluing Martinelli. He has limits, but we don't have anyone else who can break on a counter like he can and he's scored some wonderful and vital goals for us. To splurge on a drama signing and then shipping off a game changer for a discount doesn't make sense to me.

Couldn't agree more, Chief. There seems to be a consensus building on here.

        Don't want to be a pedant, P, but aren't those 3 options?

Anyway, I don't think he's coming. I think WES's act of genuine faith in praying to Ganpati that he doesn't come will be rewarded like Herbie's prayer for Boscombe against City. And Gabby stays, we're all happy and we have at least 60m in the bank for Jan.

        JAI SHREE GANESHA.

Technically it is three but my thinking is that pretty much every player in the world is going to sign for chelsea at some point so it doesnt count as a specific option

Looks like Martinelli is leaving though....

What are Chelsea playing at? Will it work?

How long have they been trying this, btw? MA took 2.5 years to completely rebuild the team and get to 5th. Another year to second. How long have these Septic ****wits been in charge? You know, the one who told his manager he should try a 4-4-3 formation.
