I just don't get the Noni hatred. He played 20+ games and we won the title, something we wouldn't have done with B being injured and/or out of form in the previous 3 seasons. We also have the young doctor coming through.

So we don't need to upgrade Noni. When it would probably end up in a Fabio situation. We'd have to loan him out and then the buying club would try to get him cheaper than discussed cos they know we want to sell.

So to upgrade money would cost a lot now, probably not get anything in for a year or two and just a pittance then, and we'd need a player better than Noni {Eng intl} who's happy to play 2nd fiddle to B and to have the fans calling for Max over him any time he makes a mistake. All with no guarantee he'd do that job better than Noni does.

I just don't think those odds make the gamble worthwhile.

I also think we should be grateful to those who won us the title.

The problem is selling GabbyGol for no good reason meaning we could have 3 RWs, or 4 if we keep Ethan, but only 1 LW.

    That is insane.

We have 7 intl CHs, plus Triphop who'll be one soon, plus Dec who could easily play there and we'd have Zubi and Brubo to replace him in MF. But just one LW.

When the reason we won last year was two top players in every position {plus some added versatility.} We don't even have anyone who could play LW as cover.
It isnt hatred. It is just a belief, based on observation, that he isnt very good. And that is inevitably going to come up while it looks as though we keeping him and letting better players (like Martinelli and Nwaneri) leave.

I do agree about Ethan and Gabby.

Though if Ethan is objectively better than Noni, it does rather beg the question why Noni was playing in the WC and Ethan was nowhere near the squad.

Because he was playing for Arsenal while Nwaneri was sat idle and then shunted off to France. We will never know what would have happened if we had kept Nwaneri and not signed Madueke.

And we dont want to know. What we do know is we won the league
