  • Again, if Gabby goes who is our 2nd choice LW?

Ironically, after the start Quantum's had, I think him as first choice and Gabby as 2nd would be perfect.

If Quantum drops off, spend big in Jan, but atm we should be giving him a chance to nail down the starting berth.

    This seems silly to me.

If Martinelli leaves, we are bringing someone in. I assume we already know who (we the club, not us).

There isnt an obvious solution in the squad. Madueke is terrible on the right and will be even worse on the left. Eze is too slow to react on the defensive side of the game and is basically a liability there.

We are facing a familiar problem in not being able to offload the deadwood like Jesus, Vieira, Reiss Nelson.

I wonder if we are viewing Alvarez as a potential left side forward.... i hope not.

I think I agree with you. I would probably stick with what we have. But it seems they have decided that Martinelli is not needed.

We are as one, except for GG's man love for Madueke.

I'd leave it as is as well. As someone pointed out recently, we won the league with all of Ode, Kai and Saka either injured or out of form for most of the season. If they can stay fit that itself will result in more goals.

And we have the best and deepest back five and the best and deepest midfield in the league.

      No need to be greedy.

The midfield options are comfortably the best we have had. You can even see us managing without Rice for a period.

I think we can let Jesus go without replacing him. We have enough options.

I'd like to see Nwaneri stay but that doesnt look likely. I think i am less convinced about Dowman than others appear to be....

Only real concern is Timber. We want him back asap.

          That's right, I reckon.

Only thing is, we actually have lots of cash burning the proverbial hole and surely everyone would simply like to see a bit more of it on the pitch, especially if it would mean actually winning the European Cup for a change, or retaining the Prem.
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

Do you remember the final game last season when the title was won? Playing centrally he was easily the best player on the park.

I'm just asking for a bit of respect for Noni. We won the league with him as back up. If we don't win the CL and/or PL I might give him grief in 12 months. But a major role in a major bit of silverware = 12 months grace in my book.

And you'd all love him if he was a ginga called Perry.

I dont mean to be horrible to the guy. He just isnt very good. And he isnt getting better.

                Bad signing. Not his fault.

You mean the game at Palace? That was a parade.

I'm not doubting the guy's potential. It is huge. Just not sure he is ready for a lot more just yet.

This is pissing me off now. As when I defended Nicky Bendtner from the moany old Saffer sitting next to me in the West Stand, the more you lot slag Noni off the more I'll praise him.

We won the league last year ffs. Did any of you lot get off your fat middle-aged arses and win us games? No. Did Noni? Yes.

Again, if he costs us silverware this year, I'll join you in 18 months. But if this season, he plays in 50+% of games, even mostly from the bench and we win won of the big two, I'll be more than happy and will want him to get a pay rise.

He had JT {better defender than BW but not as good on the overlap}, Easy and Vik along side him for most of his performances.

And we won the ****ing league.

Bet you lot didn't get Skiltord. No. Only like spare wingers if they're Colchester gingas.

PS - we've won the league, the Charity Shield vs City 3-0 nd our first league match 3-0. But we're all falling out over whether Noni is ok as a back up to B. Classic Awimb.

                      {I also think Noni can improve. He has MA not some Chelski **** now. He will surprise you and I shall demand my pound of apologetic flesh.}

I would love him to prove me wrong and I will gladly come on here and apologise to him and everyone else.

I'm just saying what I see.

Yup, below his bandana'd bonce I see a league title winners medal. Having played with Easy, Vik and a RB who prioritises defensive security over bombing forward and overlapping/linking-up.

I just worry we're starting to sound spoiled and imo that often angers the Gods. Hence my "we are thankful for Your Divine blessing of Noni" stance. They like gratitude, the Gods. That's why every religion has its Praise the Lord, Jai Shree Ganesh, Allah-hu Akbar etc.

Not sure I get your logic, GG. Just because we won the league we shouldn't replace any of our players and try to improve?

Tzolis is a step forward. Back five and midfield are set. I'd like another attacking player to give us options up front. The only god angered by that will whatever god Spurs pray to.
