Villa, now joining in, I understand.
When will this end. I?ve seen more control in a pre school nursery club.
The PL are just not fit for purpose, which will ultimately lead to its demise

Sold their women's team for ?55m, same thing Chelsea did.

If it is within the rules, it's fair enough, I suppose. Would certainly lead me to believe they are also up to other stuff.

Despite having been a big supporter of FFP, I'm now pretty sure that the only way out of this mess is to pack it in and allow clubs to spend what they want.

Leicester proved that you can win the league without spending fortunes. Probably best to drop the whole charade and move on.

I?m not convinced UEFA will see it that way but I do get your point. Leicester isnt a great example, more of a case off all the stars aligning once in a lifetime and the big five all collectively under performing.
We were clearly the worst offenders, having beaten Leicester both home and away that season.
I?d still prefer the PL to not be managed by people who give the impression they were poached from the water or train companies.
It?s really no fun when leagues are dominated by two or three clubs, even less so because we?d never be one of them

Chelsea running at a ?430m loss, ?1.1bn over 2 years and still getting round PSR and FFP.

To some extent, these financial restrictions should, in the long term, protect the biggest clubs who can generate actual revenue. It may well end up reinforcing the dominance of 2 or 3 clubs.

IF UEFA really want a level playing field, maybe they should stop overloading the Champions League with ludicrous revenues and creating significant financial imbalances in domestic leagues. A more equitable distribution across their competitions might help.

FIFA don?t appear to be helping either. The prize money for competing in this summers tedious farce isn?t that far off the Champions League.

Jealous of the UEFA cash cow that is the CL. Interesting to see how the clubs involved start the season.

And if they care; they'll have already earned their money
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."
