  • MLS's through ball for Ricky C reminded me of Cesc or, dare I say it, Bergy.

Perfectly weighted eye-of-the-needle pass. Me likes them.

No way can we let him go. Bruno might have his work cut out getting into the starting XI.

Anyway, a pleasant way to start the season. We are now joint equal on Charity Shield out-right wins, but ManU have shared 4 while we've only had one draw. Can't believe we didn't play it in 1971 cos we were on some tour.

Btw, 2 assists for the Bubble. Pre-season, he's had a goal/assist per game on average and one us a pelanty.

Would love him to be an Anders/Marcy/Bobby P/Leo. It would be both a gift from the Divine and ****ing hilarious if he has a better season than Vini.

PS - imagine if we had both Ødin and Benjamin back to their very bests. The skipper looked superb today. And for the Noni haters, he had a hand in the first two goals and a superb backheel for Bruno in the box.

Also worth noting - our preseason was pretty **** until Daveeeeed came back for the last 30 mins of the previous game. Haven't conceded since then despite our opponents fashioning some decent chances. It feels a bit harsh to say this given the love I have for Spunky and Mad Jens, but I think he could well end up being the best goalie I've seen for us. How come he isn't Spain's first choice? Though I guess the fact that they won the WC shows they must be doing something right.

      It reminded me of Odegaard.

I can only repeat, if MLS leaves then I will ****ing fuming. And amazed. It would be a ridiculous decision.

Just watching the highlights now, I missed the game.

        Very good fun, great performance.

Ridiculous in a way but Raya has been in England too long and he's simply not Spanish enough anymore.

Have you heard him speak? Peter Shilton said a keeper's greatest attribute ought to be his mouth.

Unai Simon has played his whole life at Athletic Bilbao.
