  • Not reading too much into a pre season friendly

But can we finally please get rid of some of the deadwood. Certain players are from a certain era that we’ve moved on from.

    Fabio is rubbish

Don't be reading anything whatsoever into a pre-season friendly Pat.

      Right. Nice new shirt though.
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

The new Greek lad. Based on that showing, he isnt the tidiest or most intelligent of players...

Does Sunday 16th qualify as a pre-season friendly?

I believe Marli Salmon came on in the second half yesterday which is good to hear.

Didn't watch because pre-seaon friendlies mean nothing, but I noted that we shipped 3 goals before Fabio came on, and when he did come on, the other players around him wouldn't inspire anyone with confidence. So bit weird to single him out.

I like him. Just Herbs got me worried about him being munched by a bear while leaping like a salmon.

I always liked Fabio, but the little bit I watched last night, he was getting the ball around the centre circle in their half, there would be a ball out wide to Gabby, but he'd turn round and play it backwards. At 3-1 down in a friendly, I'd rather he went for it.

He had a terrible free kick that he managed to pass right to a one man wall.
