MLS going nowhere

He hasn't stalled. It's just MLS has a starting place. B had to get past Pepe or Willian or whoever to get his place. Ethan has B and Odin ahead of him. We've now got him as first choice cover for both roles, from the bench and rotation. The trick is gonna be a way of getting him into the starting XI by the time he's 21. But some of his goals and crosses last year looked like B at his best.Originally posted by Peter View PostWe were never going to allow a problem to develop there. And I don't care what we had to pay him. It was worth it.
Nwaneri does seem to have stalled slightly.
He still got 9 goals last season.

He does feel rather one dimensional at times. However, he only turned 18 3 months ago or so.Originally posted by Ganpati's Goonerz--AFC's Aboriginal Fertility Cult View PostHe hasn't stalled. My view is that this season he is not an option to replace Odegaard were he to be out for a few months or more. His game isn't at that level yet.
Were that to happen I think Merino would be his replacement. Zubimendi Rice Merino isn't bad as an option

I hate to agree with you, WES, but I am going to have to. At this point in his development, he is a better option in the wide position. What Odegaard does is just too much responsibility for him at the moment. Trossard is the most technically suited but he was ****e doing it last season.Originally posted by WES View PostHe does feel rather one dimensional at times. Having watched him for England U21's in the Euros, he's looking to go on his right foot more often, as Bukayo has learnt to do. I'd agree that he was a bit predictable in that he was always going to cut in on his left.Originally posted by Peter View PostI hate to agree with you, WES, but I am going to have to. He needs to work on his right foot but more generally I'm not sure I see him looking to read the game and pick the right ball the way that position needs you to, and the way Ode plays. He's still effectively an attacker who immediately wants to run at someone or get into the box as quickly as possible.Originally posted by PSRB View PostHaving watched him for England U21's in the Euros, he's looking to go on his right foot more often, as Bukayo has learnt to do. Talented no doubt, but he's just not an option in Odegaard's position at this point for me
