from what I've read - which is not too much - he's only slight right of Corbyn.

He's going to tax me to **** and I won't be able to retire for 10 years yet

Of course he is. He's got the same **** economic hand, he's the same clueless lefty that doesn't know what to do without a growing economy to pay for it. And he's a norverner so he's a ****.

He'll last as long as Liz Truss. He doesn't know what a bond market is. No need to worry your pretty little Tory head, C.

He tried to bring in ULEZ type thing up here and then had to back track when it was pointed out how much it would cost in lost business. Still got the signs up though, so managed to waste a fortune that.

He's an utter Norvern bellend. I've always voted Labour, but I'll be campaigning against them next time cos this Norvern **** has no mandate. So **** 'em.

Don't worry WES. The Mail and The Telegraph will talk up a Stock and Bond market crisis so he gets scuppered then Gurning Nigel will get in. You can pay bugger all tax and blame the darkies for the potholes.

Ganps - I'm not angry with you ...?

He really isnt left wing. He isnt King of the North. He isnt the saviour of the country or the labour party. Just another pandering careerist with little or no backbone.

May as well stick with Starmer for all the difference it will make. Burnham has slightly more political nous and understands opinion polls.

Agree with all that but understanding polls isn't necessarily helpful.

They'll ask focus groups made up of economically and politically ignorant plebs what they want their leaders to do. The proles will be populists who want simple, but non existent, solutions to complex problems with won't work and will make things worse in the long run.

And the norvern monkey will go along with it because he has an IQ lower than Root's average.

More govt by focus groups. The country is finished. We should put Puddle Paws and HHDL in charge.

As a sometime Lab member, yes he will be worse than Starmer and he is to the left of him.

But he's nowhere near a Corbyn. He's not a raging, terrorist-fellating anti-semite. He cares far more about the North vs South war than about Israel-Palestine.

He's also realised that while you can campaign in poetry on economics, you have to govern in prose.

Until 2 weeks ago, it was I'll ignore the bond markets,

Once he became MP of that norvern **** hole it was "Of course I won't upset the markets."

Basically, he'll be Starmer with a northern accent, without the mandate, and with less intellect even if he does have a little more charisma.

In short,a turn for the worse, but hardly Corbyn or Truss.
