Media saying he's a Partey replacement, he's nowhere that level. Always thought he's a bit of a clogger.

Well I think we can safely say that following are done dealsOriginally posted by Peter View PostIt would suggest we don't want to spend more on midfield. Which probably means we are storing up the big bucks for the forward line
IN
Zubimendi - ?60m
Kepa - ?5m
Norgaard - ?11m
OUT
Zinchenko -?12m
Partey - Free
Tierney - Free
I'd assume we're going to need some more sales....Reiss Nelson, or is he still broken?

Doubt we get much for Nelson, with his injuries. We get a few quid for Tavares, and we will probably look to offload Vieira and Lokonga. But it isn't going to bring much in. Beyond those, you are looking at players we would plan on using, and would therefore need replacing. We might be able to sell Jesus in January.Originally posted by PSRB View PostWell I think we can safely say that following are done deals

I think we are in a position where we can carry a big net spend this summer.

Feel gutted for Fabio. There were times when he looked a decent player. That first goal into the top corner, the pass for Gabby when Martinez had come up for a corner after he's scored the og with his head, coming on for Kai and changing the game with Eddie. {And fair play to Eddie for having a cup winners' medal.Originally posted by Peter View PostDoubt we get much for Nelson, with his injuries. We've got Ethan as the Odin {and B} cover now, but when Odin got injured during that useless international, a fit and firing Fabio to replace him could have made a real difference. Also, with MnM out, could have tried him at inside left with Dec behind him and MLS or Cala at LB and seen if that got the best out of Gabby or Leo on the LW, in the way having Benny Blanc and Odin playing all the time got the best out of B.
JT's been great at RB, but he's still learning to overlap. With him able to play RB and RCH, and Cala able to play LB and LCH {and a decent back up 'keeper} we should have decent defensive cover. {Feel gutted for Tomi that he's injured all the time.}
Oh, and Yakob. Is he really gonna want to be 3rd choice for both LCH and LB when he's played a CL semi and looked comfortable at that level?
But if we sell him, we shouldn't do it cheap. He's still relatively young, a good, ball playing CH, fine in a back 3 or as a normal {non-inverting} LB and has proved himself in the CL, and in the prem when standing in as LCH this season and LB the season before.
If I was a CL team that needed a first choice LCH, or a player that could be a back-up and challenge for the starting place while also being 2nd choice LB, then I'd be happy paying ?35-40m given we've seen what he can do. Flo went to France for 30 mil, ffs. JT cost 40 mil when he hadn't then proved himself in the Prem or the CL knockouts. Yakob's won in the Bernabeu and looked comfortable against PSG.
I'd love to keep Yakob but could see him wanting to play top level football every week. But if he goes we shouldn't take less than he's worth.

Vieira may be given another chance. Definitely talent in there. I am not 100% convinced that Arteta was very happy with his commitment. If that has changed, maybe.... also, there may be no takers.Originally posted by Ganpati's Goonerz--AFC's Aboriginal Fertility Cult View PostFeel gutted for Fabio. May depend on whether we bring anyone in. At the moment, Trossard and Nwaneri are the only cover for those three areas so we are a bit short. Might also depend on how ready he thinks Nwaneri is to play 30 plus games a season.

no good for the Premier League...Other clubs never came into my thoughts once I knew Arsenal wanted to sign me.

I think a large part of why Partey is leaving is that he knows we are signing Zubimendi to take his place in the side. I dont blame him.Originally posted by IUFG View PostThis. I'd assume.
Also, nice big pay day on the way for him
I'll miss him. I think he has been an outstanding player for us.
