No, I never considered it. Was forced on me from birth as a religion.

Exactly. Your religion is determined by travelling the world and waiting to find out which God chooses you. But you are born into supporting a club and have no say in the matter. This is how it should be - in both cases it's written in the stars.

I didn't have to travel the world for my God to find me. He kindly came over from Dublin for me. His name was Liam Brady

We should upgrade Viktor to Victor. Gyokeres may be better than any striker we have, but that doesn't mean he's elite: his cv consists of goals for Coventry in the Championship and Sporting in the Portuguese league. Meanwhile Osimhem has been banging them in for fun in Italy, France and a year on loan in Turkey.

According to all accounts Napoli would accept for Osimhen what we will end up paying Sporting for Gyokeres . He would demand (and no doubt deserve) higher wages, but when you consider that we have 52 million to spunk up the wall on Chavaw.nka, that shouldn't be an issue.

He's also a prick by nearly every account. Precisely what Arteta doesn't want. Gyokeres seems genuinely invested in the project, scored 4 past City, out scores Isak for Sweden.....

              Well played.
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

Hang on. Why are we still talking about this, surely he must be already ours by this time?

No. The deal is either almost sealed or on the brink of total collapse, depending on which story you read.

Sounds like a complicated one with clauses etc etc. Might take a bit longer.

                    Oh, well. That's that then.

Never liked Coventry anyway. Remember '93.

But God comes to find you, that's the point. DB10 came from Italy.

Remember '87? Sperz were on for the treble - that Allen we bought then swapped straight away for Kenny scored 49 for them. Both scousers beat them to the title, Rocky turned it around in the Milk Cup semi replay setting up the Champagne Charlie final {we nevva lose when Rush scores, la} but they still thought they'd win the cup. But no, Gary Mabbut puts it past his own keeper in ET.

My best mate at school was a Sperzer. We bet 50p on the final. He paid me in 1p pieces sellotaped together to spell the f word I can't post.

I will always love Coventry for that. Oh, and The Specials. Slightly better than Chas n Dave, imo.

1987, what a year. Should have been the Spuds but we got GG {him, not me} and he won us a trophy and Sperz didn't win any cos of Coventry.

Exactly what I was going to say. Apart from the sledge against Chas n Dave....

I can't help but feel we're being a bit tight here. ?55m agreed and then pissing about over ?10m in add ons, even if we paid out the full ?10m in add ons, ?65m seems like a pretty good deal. GET. ON. WITH. IT

If we are refusing to be bullied over the deal, good! If we end up titting about for another 3 weeks and then giving in, not great.

Might sound odd but we don't actually NEED him firing from day one. Apart from Zubimendi, all these signings can probably afford a bit of settling in time and bench warming.
