Actually, I thought he was being an absolute bag of **** from first whistle. Constantly ignoring blatant fouls and then refusing to let us take a corner, which I dont think i have ever seen before.

PSG obviously had words concerning our dark arts and blatant time wasting. There?s a fair chance he?d been got at..

I saw a clip of Clattenburg saying that certain clubs (Barcelona, Real, PSG) tended to give gifts to referees. Watches, tablets etc. But the gifts only materialised if they won the game.

Nothing ever said. But the gifts were on display before the game and then magically appeared (or didnt) in their dressing room after the game.

        That is bent.

Don't you remember Zico in '78? match-winning goal disallowed because Clive Thomas had blown up for full-time as the corner was actually in the air to him.

Although Thomas was technically correct and the law has never been amended, nowadays, refs are encouraged to use common sense and avoid blowing the final whistle during a live attacking phase.

          So that's alright then
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

It did seem to change a bit, but he could have sent Mosquera off.

I am aware of that having happened in 78. But was too young and do not remember it

So, yet again, we are subject to a refereee conjuring an archaic interpretation of a rule out of his back pocket.

Remember when Bournemouth were allowed to launch a long throw at us several minutes over time. And the furore when the referee blew the whistle after we'd cleared it because we didnt clear it up the pitch?

Neves got booked and, in response, threw the ball away. No 'Martinelli' second yellow. That was actually the third time a PSG player had thrown the ball away. None were booked. But he clamps down on our time wasting with yellow cards and disappearing corners.

              Cumt!!!!!

Yes. Once you accept the principle that officials can be paid then, necessarily, the officials will want to get paid.

That ought not to prevent them from doing their job though. They are expected to make decisions within the spirit of the game and the Laws; chiefly asking themselves the question, what would football want or expect.

So naturally, as football wants and expects the Arsenal to lose, well done, the ref

And given 'Euro rules' he could've given a pen against Saka in the first half when the ball hit both his arms.
