times cos I wanted to know why Vik was nowhere near it after he'd done so well from B's cross at the weekend.

He was by the penalty spot. Has a defender on his who he tries to shake off. Manages to get in front of him and the defender holds him back with both arms wrapped around his waist.

How in God's name is that not a foul?

Can someone please explain that to me?

How are you allowed to grab a player and hold him back like that?

I'd love a rule change so that's a foul, and all shirt pulling's a foul.

Then we might have more sexy goals.

Referees have been chatting with each other and decided that Gronk unfairly seeks an advantage by going down too easily and playing with three legs when most forwards have to make do with two. I think they may have a point Ganps

Well, he did score with his cock once. Does that count as his third leg?

But it's a genuine question. How is that not a foul. What's the difference between grabbing a player 'round his waist so he can't get to the ball and tripping a player when he's trying to run onto the ball?

How is that not a foul. You aren't allowed to grab a player 'round the waist and if their guy hadn't, Vik would have got the tap in cos he was ahead of the defender. It would have been a gorgeous goal to boot.

I can only watch on dodgy streams and all highlights on Youtube are usually just the goals. I also wanted to watch the penalty that Everton were denied when their man was hauled down but couldn't get it anywhere. Can you point me to a link that shows the Grokky incident in question?

          The Arsenal.com highlights, Herbs.

Watch the best of the action as we reach the Champions League final thanks to Bukayo Saka's goal

MLS gets the ball at his feet in their box around 28" in. Let me know what you think. Look at Vik around the pelanty spot, not MLS's ninja skills on the ball.

Their defender looks like Vik's third leg.

I'm not convinced Ganps. He has both hands on Gronks torso for sure but I just don't see enough to expect a pelanty - his arms are around him too momentarily. When I dissect an incident I like to get it on Youtube so I can slow it right down and do several pauses - wasn't possible with that vid. I thought the push on (Hincapie? ) was far more cut 'n dried.

I just wish holding and shirt-tugging was consistently given as a foul. We look at offsides to the nearest millimetre cos that split second of advantage could be the difference between getting to the ball for a tap in first. So why are we allowed to hold players back?

If they changed that, games would be much more exciting with more goals.

Also, why is a player shepherding the ball out for a goal kick allowed to obstruct his opponent to a degree that would certainly be penalised anywhere else on the pitch.

It isnt obstruction if you are 'shielding' the ball. The complication here is that you have no intention of playing the ball, you are just shielding its path.

There is a point at which it becomes obstruction. You have to stay close to the ball and follow its path. If you deviate from that, it can become a foul.
