    Two London derbies away? One against a side fighting against relegation?

    We're doomed

    Then we dont deserve to be champions.

    Anyway...... we have tonight worry about. Underneath all the excitement last night I missed Arteta's announcement that Havertz and Odegaard are both back in the squad.

    That's nice

        Will Modd make a comeback if we win something this year?

              I'm with you, P. If we don't win it from here, fairy nuff, we don't deserve to. I just couldn't have bared winning our remaining games and losing on GD.

              Win 3 games and we're champions of England.
              Win 2 games and we're champions of Europe.

              We'd have bitten arms off for that at the start of the season.

              If we don't do it, ok, but at least we blew it. It didn't come down to us hitting the bar when 3-0 up in September or whatever way we'd have looked at GD.

              Season starts tonight. {Or started last night, depending on how you want to look at it.}

              If we blow it now, ok. It's better to have loved and lost than never quite loved cos a financially-doped Mancunian kept his rizzlas of goal difference between you and your beloved. If that isn't too mixed a metaphor.

                Exactly. In our hands, all down to us.

                  To address the second part of that, if B can play like he did at the weekend for the next five matches we've gone from where I was a week ago which was throwing in the towel to thinking we've got a decent chance.

                  Also, with Kai and Odin back, we only really need two of Vik, Eze, Kai and Odin to fire. That's a ten and a striker. If you have a great defence. And that's without a B grinning from ear to ear as he eyes the crowd with his outstretched arm on the corner flag as he celebrates another goal. {Oh, how I've missed that.}

                  A week ago, I thought whichever team out of us and Aleti got to the final would get hammered by PSG or Bayern. Head and shoulders above the other teams.

                  But now, after seeing B do that? Basically, we have a player who can produce undefendable goals on his own. And we have a very good defence that can bore teams to death. In short, Copenhagen.

                  They had Asprila, Brolin, Zola. We had Selley, Morrow, a coke-up Merse and a super-Kev who could never play wide.

                  We are The Arsenal. Being the underdog suits us.

                  Just need a miracle tonight.

                  If B, Odin and Kai play the best football of their careers so far for the next five games after a season or more of injury, would you finally accept that there is an Unseen Hand of Pure Love behind All of Creation?

                  Or only if He relegates the Sperz as well?

                    Effectively, you are saying it is Sakatime

                    And you are right. Saka at or near his best makes all the difference in the world. Different class.

                      I'm not really into bogtrotter politics because I still haven't forgiven them for trying a German backed rebellion during the Battle of Verdun. But don't you mean that Trocky ah la?* Our day will come?

                      *Yes, I know it's not spelled like that but I can't stand the way the paddies expect us to learn Gaelic when they don't even use it. But no, have to call their PM the tower-seech. I mean, the Kraunts never complain about us calling Munchen Munich. We never moan about Douvres or Londres to the Frogs. But no, have to spell Gaelic or we're evil imperialists even though their entire economy is based on speaking English and allowing the Us tech companies to **** all of Europe in a beggar-thy-neighbour beggorah begosh.

                      **** them.

                        Yup. I'd feel gutted if I were Fulham. Arsenal have been there for the taking, home and away, for over a month. Yet they get to play against B and he tears them a new one in 45 mins. Almost feel sorry for them. I quite like the Fulham. They've got lots of ex-Gunners and they hate the Chavs.

                          The point I was making was that we must do this ourselves. The Sinn Fein reference was simply my rather odd sense of humour.

                          All my first heroes in life were either Irish or Jewish. Those are two loves I've never lost.

                            Oh, I forgot Terry Neil as a Paddy I love. No-one liked my Paddy V coming from County Senegal comment. Oh well.

                            Have we had any great Jewish players?

                              Donegal is an odd one. The most northern county in Ireland but not part of Northern Ireland.

                              Only Jewish player i can think of is the Israeli lad, Bennayoun.

                              But there was David Dein, of course

                              But I was thinking of the Marx brothers, Paul Simon, Woody Allen, Dylan, Leonard Cohen etc etc.....
