got pinged by a mate,"Switch back on ,,now!!". They were replaying an Everton defender being hauled down. Help me here, was the ball not yet in play from the corner/free kick ? And as for the extra 90 seconds

We needed a slip. We got a slip. The last minute equaliser is frustrating but we are back in with a shout.

Now to focus on tomorrow night and that **** Simeone......

City limited to a single point was the best I was hoping for so Gawd bless The Toffees .. BUT .. I am left feeling convinced Everton should have won. I am currently trying to soothe my anger with a treble JackyD when it should be a cup o' Rosy and off to bed. Football is driving me to drink P

I didnt see the penalty incident but i can explain why it wasnt given- Michael Oliver. He's never given a penalty against City in his entire career and he isnt going to start now.

According to Clattenburg it was not given because the ball was not in play at the time.

Mind you, it really wasn't any worse than that Geordie pulling Gabriel's shirt over his head as he held him back a few years ago. If that wasn't given I'm not convinced Oliver woud have given that onelast night even if the ball was in play.

Fair enough. If the ball isnt in play, it isnt a penalty.

Oh well - if the ball isn't in play there is no foul committed. However, a card for unsporting behaviour is certainly permissible. I will now hunt down the incident as I suspect Clattenburg may well be a member of the global Anti-Arsenal cabal that continually strives to deny us silverware.
