Seriously, this is a THING that can happen; sent off for pulling someone's hair?!
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

I saw that unfold live and honestly thought it was a joke. Gary Neville saying 'oooohhh, you'll never get away with a hair pull'....

It wasn't even a proper pull, he just tugged at it slightly. If that is 'violent conduct' then... well, I don't know.

The litmus test here is whether or not Martinez ( being the filthy kyunt we all know him to be ) ended up with the rubber band in his palm ?

I think that was his original intention- to remove the hairband. The sort of thing Ben White would do.

As soon as he feels pressure as Calvert Lewin pulls away from him, he lets go.

I think a Spurs player yanked that Chelsea tosser to the floor a couple of years ago. Now that I can buy as violent conduct.

But men don't pull hair. And as you say, it's a man's game. Hence the red card.
