    Is that our Dr Headgear?

Btw, is there a reason why Awimb's died yet every other team have big fora?

I've been chatting to Grimsby fans since they beat ManU and they have a million posts a day. I looked on the Mansfield forum after we beat them and that was full of posts. On some Sperz one {can't get into Simb, sadly} they have threads with 4-500 pages.

Yet there's only about half a dozen of us here. Why is that?

PS - has anyone got a Simb log in? Does anyone know how they're bearing up?

We are a select few. We don't let in the riff-raff.

      My recollection of events is:

Old awimb was very active but had a few cliques
Headgear started banning people based on nothing more than his personal whims and desires
Chris did nothing to stop this
A few cliques left en masse because of this i.e. Fatneck and his clique
Old board blewup/changed to a new board
During the down period some decided they couldn't be bothered with it anymore

That or maybe the rest of them got old and grew up

The other bit I remember is when Facebook became big. Suddenly loads went to that and were able to chat Arsenal with the Awimbers there and also chat non-Arsenal with their other mates all in one tab and later one app.

But you're right about the clique thing - that's one reason I just lurked for years.

The cliques resulted in a lot of fighting, which was the best bit

Problem was that everybody needed to realise it was just the internet and not take it too seriously. Once the banning started it was inevitable that it would end.

There were those of us who warned them at the time that it was a bad idea. Shame really, I miss the old place

You were banned for a while, weren't you?

              Several times

By Headgear, probably for siding with greg mitchell about something.

Can't really remember how I got back on. Might have been only when the new board came along.

I knew of you as a banned, evil individual long before I ever conversed with you

I think you and I met once. Were you at the 2-2 Barcelona game?

Yes, I think it was in the Woodbine pre match. You had a lot of hair, more than me

I seem to recall trying to wind you up about Bergkamp. Luis Anaconda was standing next to me if I recall correctly. I'd probably just bought him a beer.

                        That all sounds about right

You see, at that point, I don't think I'd ever seen you on here. I just knew the name because you were banned.

Not ALL the riff-raff are banned!

Right; only the elite, the elect. The worthy.

Many other Arsenal supporters' forums are available, so I gather.
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

We don't have a lot of young talent coming through. No money in it, I suppose. Why write on here when you can rant on YouTube, establish a brand etc..

Our old road is rapidly ageing
