for this, even though the ref didn't even hurry us up.

Now he may well have a point that the rules need to be changed. But what he must surely understand can't happen is that the refs unilaterally change the laws mid-season.

That BHA are given an extra few mins to try to equalise when all those other teams we've beaten by one goal so far weren't.

I want the rules on holding at corners changed. But you can't do it mid-season, and you can't have this rule change applied randomly by refs according to how they think the changes should be.

I wonder if the reason the ref didn't even give us a hurry up was because he didn't want to be seen to be giving into manager pressure cos they he'd have every manager on his case in every game. That would be funny if true. This antics being counter-productive.

Well, I didn't think we were wasting time at all. Brighton took 45 seconds for a free kick before we scored

Not making excuses but our workload has been off the charts. Played at least 12 more games than Brighton going into that game. We?ve five games coming up between the 7th to the final on 22nd. It?s mental
We should put out the Under 21?s v Mansfield

Everyone could see what he was doing. And if they couldn't, he spelled it out after the game.

He was using the media before the game to pressure the referee into handing out yellow cards and to create an atmosphere in the ground. Have you ever heard so much booing the second the ball goes dead? It was pure theatre.

He was pressuring the ref and fourth official during the game. After the game, he claimed Raya should have been sent off and tried to pressure refs in future games.

And, clear as day, you could see their players had been told to fall over the minute Mosquera went near them once he was on a yellow. And they have form for this- remember the Declan Rice sending off.

The bloke is an absolute dickhead and he should have been booked last night. You can shout at the fourth official but when you shout at the ref, follow him down the tunnel, and get in the faces of opponents mid play, you've overstepped the line. You've become Mourinho.

Arteta told him to shut the **** up during the game and then swatted away his nonsense at his post match interview. Quite right.

        What a ****.

I see Alan Pardew wants us to have am asterisk next to our name if we win the title. For not being attractive enough. What a plonker

We dont need excuses. Time wasting has been a part of football for as long as I've been alive. And even today, every team does it. Including City. And Liverpool. Yet nobody complained when they won titles.

Everyone hates us. I can see why. But let's be honest about what this is- hate. Nothing more.

Only Newcastle, Chelsea and ManUtd average the ball in play for fewer minutes per match than Brighton, this season.

He wants to wind his ****ing neck in, the moaning little ****.
Other clubs never came into my thoughts once I knew Arsenal wanted to sign me.

              Germans, see. They're like that.
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

What pisses me off is that the narrative in the media this morning makes it seem like we play this way every time.

We just beat Leeds 4-0 away, Spurs 4-1 away, we beat Atl Madrid, Inter Milan and Bayern in the CL scoring 3 or more goals.

And how many times have we been forced to play boring football by teams that come to ours for a 0-0?

Last night was sh1t, terrible to watch, but the suggestion that it represents our season and how we got to the top of the league is complete nonsense.

The "great" Liverpool side of the 80's just used to pass it to Hansen and he'd pass it back to Grobelaar, for half the match.

Kai's not. He has sad eyes, like Ozil. And Per was just a big, friendly giant. Jens was mad, though.

The glw said the thing she fancied about me when she first saw us in a squat, when I had the mankiest, natural dreads on the planet, and looked like utter ****, was my sad eyes. Luckily there weren't many German no.10s on ?350k pw on the London free party scene in the early-'90s.

Hmm.... has to be said, it's wasnt unexpected or atypical.

I don't object to people calling us boring. We are. Even I'm bored watching it.

I resent the suggestion that we are cheating, or that we are employing 'dark arts' that aren't employed by every other team.

I resent the suggestion that the rules should be changed to remove our advantage.

And I resent ****s like that Brighton manager trying to make a name for himself by slinging mud at us.

I was bored when Liverpool and Man City came to Emirates and sat back defending for most of the game. Was that our fault as well?

Are we negative too often for my taste? Yes. But we also cruised through the CL playing attractive football and have played attractive football more often than not when the opposition has allowed us to. That was really Arteta's point about physical man marking.

I object to the narrative that says we always or almost always play like this, nonsense.

I've seen this performance far, far too often this season and last. I think it is incredibly dull, and extremely unwise. And I think that if we were even slightly more positive, and trusted ourselves, the title race would be over by now.

I spent 90 minutes last night proving that it is possible to be on the edge of your seat and bored stiff at the same time. Arsenal fans in the ground were using the wifi to watch the City game.......

Nobody is ever going to convince me that this is the right way for a title-chasing side to approach games.

No. The board keeps going down which leads to huge gaps of inactivity between exchanges.
