    And Brentford.

That is a 95 minute performance. Pressing high, same tempo, fully committing, controlling the game.

Not rocket science. Nothing to do with the opponent.

Keep doing that and we are still in the race....

Two superb goals from Vik. Wonderful stuff.

    **** off, Rich

Gyok clearly MOTM - not only two great goals but his link up play was also good.

I love it when we do that. 5 minutes into stoppage time, 4-1 up and we're still aggressively rat-packing them back on their own goal line.

Agreed. His best performance by a mile. And his best two goals for us, by a mile.

That's what happens when you keep playing, keep committing.

We need to be doing that in every game.

Well it?s because they didn?t deploy a low block.

As our CL opponents have found - **** around & find out.

No, that isn't what I am talking about.

For the last half hour of that game, at 3-1 up, we kept up the press, forced errors, kept the game in their half, controlled the tempo.

Ignore low blocks, or the merits and failings of our players. If we'd chased the final half hour at wolves the way we did today, we would have win that game by a similar margin.

Spurs did sit in low block for the first half hour. We played quicker, tried to hit them early, even used overlaps we created things.

Raya was always looking to release the ball quickly. We hardly ever do that.

This was not a perfect performance. But the approach abd attitude was spot on. This is what we should be attempting to produce every week.

This team wins the league. I just fear we have left it too late

How unlike you to be so optimistic, Peter

Spurs gave us a lot of space in midfield. And paid the price.

What we don?t know is what would have happened had they pressed us better and denied us the space we had. Would we have kept trying to play, or lapsed back into safety, game management mode.

Chelsea will be a good test

I think the team got the message today. The attitude was different, from the start. Like I said, not perfect, but the right intent.

We do know what would have happened if we had dropped off, because the few times where our tempo dropped we got ourselves into trouble.

Of course, it has to be said that spurs are a terrible side. But so are Wolves.....

Chelsea, and then away to Brighton. Big games.

But....have to say, I think those two previous games have cost us dearly. I cant see us getting over the line unless City crumble.

If it goes to the wire, we'll blink first

Oh ye of little faith. B is starting to get back into it. Odin came on and made a goal, if he clicks, we click. And if we can still be ahead when Kai's back, then we've got a real chance.

That double pivot with a front 4 of B, Odin, Kai, Leo {Gabby} ahead of them - that's when we played our best. 2 no 10s, 2 wingers, 4 finishers.

Btw, Hinchappy seems to be coming along nicely in MA's never ending quest for the perfect LB. Start of this season, the libero Ricky looked perfect. End of last season, the inverting MLS. Now Pierro doing the old skool FB thing but who can defend like a pwoppa CH as well as a FB.

Hincapie was very good, again. He is actually keeping Calafiori on the bench. Some achievement.

And how good was Mosquera? The guy is an absolute beast. Think we have signed a serious player there.

Yes, as it stands the only player acquisition I would question is Madueke.

Gyok, Mosquera, Hchappie, Norgaard, Zubi, Kepa - all positive. And even Madueke is clearly talented, it's whether we ever see the best of that talent

He seems to suit playing in Europe more than the PL

He's been a live wire. His corner taking improved to near B levels. He looked great when they were combing the other day. He's started scoring.

And that drag back with his studs and then pass with the inside of his heel to BW on the overlap for that goal is currently leading GG's Sexyball Move of the Year award. Cos I'd never seen it before, it worked, it led to BW proving that overlapping crosses is what he's best at, can't remember who scored but it was one of us so that's all that matters. The hard work was done by Noni being sexy.

He stays for five years just for that.

Out of interest, who do you think is better that would play second figure to B? We had Raheem Sterling in that role last year. The year or two before and it was Reiss. We also have Ethan and in 5 years the young MD will be around 21.

I really like him. Remember when we were 5 pts behind after 5 games? He'd looked the best addition during that period.

                            Quality player in there.
