    Delap is a useless donkey

He looks like a League 1 striker who accidentally fell into a PL game and can?t quite believe it

The one at the end, I assume?

I also thought there was a pen on a corner early in the game. Defender put his arms around Martinelli (I think) and the ball clearly hit the defenders arm.

No way was that a natural position and it stopped Martinelli getting to the ball

Yes, the 1st part of the tackle was just about fine and outside the box but when the ball squirts out Martinelli is clean through and he clearly lifts his leg to bring him down.

Even Gary Neville rejected the VAR justification for not giving it

What was the VAR rejection for not giving it? Once I'd seen a couple of replays, I was sure the ref was gonna be told to come to the screen and we were gonna get a pelanty. I've no idea how that's not given. Like Wenger, I don't really like the pen and red card double, but that was a professional foul to stop a blatant goal scoring opp.

Had it only been a yellow and we'd missed the pen, his cheating would have been rewarded.

But why was it not a pen according to VAR?

The same could be levelled at Gyokeres at this point tbf.

"Natural follow-through after Chalobah plays the ball."

                      Boars, basically.
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

But he lifted his leg up off the floor once he saw Gabby was still on his feet and about to get the ball and realised this was his last and only chance to stop him.

It was blatant as they come.

That's pretty much exactly what Neville said. Nothing natural about it, entirely intentional.

In other words, refs don't understand footballers or the game.

Basically, I assume everything a professional footballer does on a football pitch is intentional.

Remember Cesc accidentally cropping Graham Poll at Wembley? Yes, we are supposed to believe this Barcelona-born and bred Spanish international central midfield Parquimetre who provably has eyes in the back of his head simply did not know the referee, of all people, was there.

                            Uh-huh.

I agree, that is a problem.

But how did VAR not notice that there was no way that could be a natural leg movement and it was perfectly timed as a last cance foul to stop a goal?
