I would in a heart beat. Look at the goal Gabby gave away a few weeks back, or Willy in Madrid. It happens.

Hinchappy has been great in both positions. Dominant in the air, serious player, proven winner, different option. Zubi's given away about 4 goals this season with mistakes and yet everyone's rightly talking about him being one of the signings of the season.

I dont think Hincapie has been amazing. A few poor performances and quite a few injuries.

However.... there has been a lot of good stuff in there as well. I would think more in terms of comparing him with Calafiori. If you look at Calafiori in his first season compared to now, the difference is immense. Those little errors have largely gone and his game has come on hugely.

I am sure we'll keep him. And he will look a lot more comfortable next season.

Apart from giving away a really dumb penalty.

Yes, but he has been out for a month and back training a few days. I think we can forgive him that

Again, no-one mentions Gabby giving a goal away this month, Willy in Madrid and Zubi's 3 or 4 errors this season. Cos they're all in our first choice starting XI and we love them.

Hinchappy, first season in the PL, 2nd/3rd choice for 2 positions, been injured, often plays with the B team, makes a mistake and suddenly we don't think he's worth making permanent. Jeez.

Remember that towering header on halfway for the 4th goal vs Sperz etc?

He won the Bundesleague at 22 for a non-BM team, FFS.

Thank God we didn't have social media in the late '80s. One misplaced pass from Dicko or Bouldy and it would have been "See? Div 2 level."

To be fair, we did buy Dicko and Bouldy from the worst defence in England.

                But George knew, of course.
"Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.

"But a lot have found it difficult wearing the number 9 shirt for The Arsenal."

Mentioned it last night but I can?t see a huge gulf between Zubi and Norgaard..

No need to hide, 7s. I'd agree with that. The former overrated at this point, the latter probably underrated.

Zubi still better, of course. Like any signing, he needs time before we see the best of him.

                      And GG would have bitten your hand off for the 23 year old Hincappie we signed in the summer. {Wouldn't have paid 45m, mind, not without a lot of brown envelopes.}

To be fair, I think we all mentioned those errors. Wes called Zubimendi a **** and said it wasn't the first time.

However, we trust those players. When someone is excellent for years you accept the odd mistake. When someone is new and 'on trial' you are going to notice the errors.

That was awful defending last night bit I've seen enough of him to like him. He is a but of a nutter as well. That could come in handy....

None of us lot are going to the games, and you really need to to appreciate a DM.

All the UK, Fr and SP journos are saying he's a bargain. Dagos saying if he'd signed for RM and played like he is for us, their manager wouldn't have lost his job.

Remember how opposing fans who only watched telly never got Gilby?

GG would have kept Dan Ballard and made him captain

Love seeing the guy doing so well at Sunderland.

Remember Dixon doing a job at left back while we waited for Kenny to get off the pot so Winterburn, who was doing a job at right back, could take over there.

                              Something like that.
